Shitty cover art. Long time follower of the gospel according to John McClane. Set does seem redundant as the fifth will be released soon. Will this set have the unrated cut of Live Free or Die Hard?

Of course.

I already have the first four individually. Hopefully McClane will die in the fifth and I can safely pick up the inevitable Definitive Die Hard Collection later next year.

The weird shattering glass effect cover art doesn't have much to do with Die Hard at all, aside from emphasizing random carnage, but I still think it looks fairly badass.

I'm dying to know if this will have improved PQ/AQ, all extras available, and the unrated LFoDH. If none of these conditions are met, then frakk it, I'll just keep the current set.

The only way I'd buy this is if it left an open slot for DH5 like the Bond set did for Skyfall.

...and even then, I love the series - DH is one of my favorites of all-time, but I can't see double-dipping until I find it dirt cheap.

...thought there IS a Movie Cash promotion for DH5, so I would assume this release would be included.

I don't suppose they'll do some theatrical screenings of #1 to promote this, like they did with Back to the Future, ET, etc???

I would LOVE to see Die Hard in the theater again!

I was only 5 when the first DH came out, so I'd love an opportunity to see in theatres for the first time

I would love for this to have remasters of the first three movies, both the theatrical and unrated of part four (this way everyone's happy), and a place-holder for part five...

Hopefully I'm wrong but this just looks like a repackage of the first set with a special features disc.

Thanks OP or the info regardless.

Yikes. That cover art is awful. Why not use the artwork from the first Die Hard? That's the movie everyone knows best.

Anyway, I'll pass unless it has new transfers or at least the unrated cut for Die Hard 4.

I already own the first 3. I will gladly double dip if:

The first 3 has been remastered
Live Free or Die Hard contains the Unrated Cut

If so, I'm IN........

I read an interview recently with Hart Bochner (Ellis) where he said that he had just recorded a commentary for the 25th anniversary blu ray of Die Hard. So, just know, unless it's otherwise stated in this box sets special features, something else is coming next year for Die Hard's silver anniversary.

Id only get this if the prints are better than the first release, more extras and the unrated 4th Die hard...
I guess we will have to stay tuned for reviews or more details

I'll gladly double dip on this if:

The first 3 films receive at least 2K remasters
The first 3 films are released as Extended Editions in addition to the Theatrical versions via seamless branching.
The fourth film is available in the unrated cut
There's a space for the 5th film.

Otherwise, no sale.
