Talking Blu-ray Legit!

I am finally a proud owner of a BD player! Got a call last week from hollywoodinhighdef.com to confirm my address and that I won a Panasonic DMP-BD10A! I joke with my wife that all I need to do now is win a LCD... I had bought 6 BD's just to support the format as I knew I would someday get a player, but this was totally unexpected! It's good to know that now I can actually add my 2 cents in when movies are discussed (albeit, not about PQ yet...). Just really wanted to say that Hollywood in High Def ROCKS!!!

wow talk about dedication. You purchased 6 movies before you had a player. That's like buying 6 PS3 games because you know eventually you'll get a PS3.

I wish I had your cash flow.

Thanks for the replies I have a Sony 32" Wega... not even widescreen... (as I have been slowly building to get into HD, don't have the cash flow to jump right in) I have been doing more and more research on the 46" LCD sets out there though. The Sony's and Samsung's look real nice and, don't yell at me, the Toshiba's look really nice. They actually do a really nice job with the 120 hz. My thought was that Toshiba should focus on their LCD's and forego hddud.

I always wondered who those people are that win these give-aways, cuz it's never me or anyone I know. Now I can say I do! Congrats, that's a really sweet prize. And don't worry about the TV yet, the PQ will still be a vast improvement.

But you will be blown away when you finally go hi-def...

Wow, looks like good fortune is flowing in this forum. Last Thursday I went home and found my brother had bought us BOTH a Vizio 26" LCD HDTV!

Better put that TV on your Christmas list. Or is it a Chanucah list?

Meanwhile hook that sucker up with the best cable your SD TV can take.

1. Component (Red, Blue, Green)
2. S-Video
3. Composite (Yellow)

Any of those connections will need the white and red audio cables too.
