Default Pay it Forward Code Thread

The Pay It Forward thread is about claiming a digital code from the latest offer for yourself, and then posting your own valid offer as a replacement. If everything is working correctly, it's an even one-for-one code exchange.

There is only one standing offer at a time. A person claims the latest offer by quoting it and posting their own valid offer, hence paying it forward.

The following rules are meant to ensure a fair and orderly process. This thread is not for open trades, that can be accomplished in the trading forum.

Rules:

1. Every valid claim must include a minimum of THREE working codes from Blu-ray or HDX quality. TWO of them must be UltraViolet. The third code can be UltraViolet, iTunes, Disney Digital or VUDU. All three codes must be from the U.S.

2. Permissable Secondary codes IN ADDITION TO the three minimum codes are:
  • DVD and SD codes
  • iTunes codes requiring a disc or XML file for redemption
  • Foreign codes (from outside the U.S.)
  • VUDU credits, Disney Movie Reward points, Hollywood Movie Money, etc.
  • Exception: $5 in VUDU credit can be made as a substitute offer in place of the three primary codes.

3. If your offer isn't claimed in 18 hours, you must add another Blu-ray code to your offer. If an offer has no takers and gets bailed out by another poster after a period of two days, that person can't claim a code in the thread for two weeks.

No one wants the thread stuck for days on a poor selection. The goal is to turn the thread over as fast as possible and get many people involved. Don't slow the thread to a crawl while holding back your better codes.

4. The first post to quote an offer and make a valid, working claim has the right to that code. A person does have the right to retract their claim, if they haven't already received their free code.

5. Your trading score feedback has to be at 5 or more to claim a code in this thread. A poster with a trading score under 5 may participate, but must wait for their offer to be claimed, only then may they receive their claimed code.

6. Feedback: Posters claiming a code should leave trading score feedback at the appropriate time for the person that gave them their free code. Negative trading feedback is possible for people that skip out on codes or don't make private arrangements to correct problems that may arise.

When the thread is working correctly, a person will offer a digital code and another person will claim it. That second person then offers their own code up to the thread and the process begins anew.

[Show spoiler]Rules subject to change.

This is a great idea. If I had any codes, I'd definitely be all about this.

Great idea! However, I'll have to wait for a different movie as that one isn't high on my must have list

I'll start by posting a code, whoever PMs me gets it but they have to post a new code for the next person to claim in order to receive it.

First Code:

The Dark Knight Trilogy - DVD

First person to reply claiming this code and posting a new movie gets the code.

Rules:
If movie isn't claimed in 48 hours you have to post a different movie.

What does this code do?

no. As I understand it, a person needs to post that they have a new code to give away before they will receive the current code.
I have plenty to give away, but waiting for a different one as I have no interest in Dark Knight.

Going by the rules, if the movie posted isn't claimed in 48 hours then another has to be posted by that person. Not sure if this applies to the first person, so I was just wondering (I don't think it needs to be applied). At any rate, I might claim it just to get the ball rolling, I just have to see what codes I have available to pass on. It's a good idea, I'm just not sure how much others will embrace it.

Oh he did? Sheesh, c'mon people

edit: Is there any way to verify whether a DC/UV is working without acutally redeeming it? I got a code that came with a used copy of a movie. I already acquired the UV previously so I have no use for it, but I don't want to give out something that may already be redeemed :/
