Just so you know, it does not include a blu-ray player, the receiver is designed to match it, though. There has been some confusion about this on this forum in the past.

I know what you are talking about....I just wanted to know if the specs are up to standard for the new audiocodec outh there and the power that it provides...

If I were you and was looking into HTIB's, I would look at Onkyo's offerings over Sony. I'm not a big fan of Sony for audio, actually, I'd say they are the worst at the audio game...they are better at video equipment. Of course, that is all a matter of opinion and I'm just going by my experience on the matter.
