I think this company released HARDWARE as well... Great release! The only issue I have with Synapse is.......why does it take them so lonnngggggggg to release movies??? I think it's been over a year since Hands Of The Ripper was announced.....

There are rumors that they may have Dawn of the Dead and Evil Speak as well. Some even suggesting Suspiria, although I find that unlikely it would be amazing if true!

Hardware was released by Severin another genre company, althoguh not in teh same league as Synapse IMO.

Yeah some releases take longer but they always deliver great discs. Could be taking a while to get the extras put together, or maybe there was a problem with the print they had.

I would assume wishful thinking. Like I said, I doubt it is true as I believe the Weinstein company own the rights for it right now, but it would be awesome!

This is speculation but in the 2012 Synapse Films catalogue the Coffin Joe films, This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse and At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul, were mentioned. Given that these already have a North American DVD release, albiet out of print, I infer they will be treated in high definition (maybe even being released as a trilogy with the current Synapse edition of the third film, Embodiment of Evil). That these titles seem delayed adds to my hunch that HD mastering has taken some time.

Two more titles I seem to remember them announcing last year are At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul and This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse, which are parts one and two of the Coffin Joe Trilogy; the third part, Embodiment of Evil, already having been released.

Any more news on these two? I feel like they might even be listed in the back of last year's catalog in the "Upcoming" section.

I love Synapse, by the way. I own all but three of their current Blu titles (because they're titles I have no interest in) and several of their dvds as well.

EDIT: We were obviously on the same page, undeadcow.

I think they might have the Blind Dead but that is speculation, partly wishful thinking...
We will get Hands of the Ripper soon, and also some Kindred news
Don is pretty cool about questions on titles and will explain holdups on titles if you ask him (nicely and respectfully)
He is really cool and funny

Coffin Joe(s) are Brazilian films about an undertaker obsessed with finding the perfect bride. The actor/director Jose Mojica Marins basically self-financed the first and it grew in popularity. The Coffin Joe character is a caped figure in a top hat with long nails.

Nope other than Don has gotten some of the great Italian horror flicks that Anchor Bay (Demons, Tenebre,) and who is to say he hasnt gotten more foreign horror flicks like the Blind Dead ( previously released from Anchor Bay and Blue Underground)...no real basis at all quite honestly.
Again, its just speculative guessing and if Im wrong who cares

He could also have gotten other Anchor Bay DVD releases like Hell of the Living Dead..
In closing ...
Just sit back and wait for the announcements !

Regarding release of Coffin Joe movies on Blu - a quote from the man himself (Don May Jr.) :

That is a shame about the Coffin Joe films. Too bad they can't be cleaned up and retained better for preservation if nothing else.
