Default I dont normally make threads like this...but

today I went into my local BB and went to check out the blu rays. Wow. They have moved HD DVD to the back of the store rack and given it two rows. Blu Rays were moved closer to the front of the store and had SIX rows. Plus there were many blu sitting next to their dvd counterpart and only Transformers was that way for HD DVD. I could not believe it. My CC has always been WAY blu and BB had three rows for each.

strange how every store is different. they expanded both sections at my local store. but its one large isle, hd dvd is taking up almost one whole side and it makes it look like blu-ray is being pushed out, but then you walk around the other side and blu-ray continues. kind of lame the way it makes you think hd dvd has more available, but its only one store.

My BB wraps their selection into another aisle also. Its kinda frusterating but then again, you cant really get too mad. They have more selection of BD than DUD so its all good

They offer equal space at my local BB, one aisle, 3 shelves high, BD on the left, HD DVD on the right.

The one thing that I hate is that for the major releases, they don't put them with the other BDs for about the first week. They put them with the DVD version. This week I had to walk all over the place before I found the BD of Meet the Robinsons. They ahd the DVDs all over the place, but had the BDs only in two spots and not where you would expect to find them. I don't know why they don't put them in the regular BD section.

When I see that they are out of the BD copies of a title in one section, but have plenty in another section (like in one of those cardboard things that go in the aisle for a major DVD release), I tend to move some of them so that people looking for them won't think they are sold out.
