I wish they would open and honestly announce what the status is of their company. It's not dead because after a long time they announced one new title which was 'Snuff' of all movies. This indicates they're obviously having financial difficulties but it would be nice to hear it from them.

I can't feel bad for them though. Honestly, look at the titles they've been putting out towards the end of their "hiatus" or whatever. Obviously personal favourites that look downright crap on blu-ray. The fact that they look the way they do isn't BU's fault. It's just the source material and that's fine.

I also have no problem with the fact that they keep putting out personal favourites. However to keep a business alive, you've got to release "fan favourite's" too. Titles that will actually sell decently and make back enough money so you can slip personal favourites in there aswel.

There are countless other titles everyone's been mentioning they'd love to see and would buy day 1 if they released them, and they chose Snuff? I don't get it. The best move would've been to pick a title that's really desired on blu-ray to get the juices flowing again and restore peoples faith in the studio.
Releasing Snuff is basically business suicide at this point.

Honestly, it just looks like they're releasing yet another favourite of theirs and are too stubborn to just release more mainstream and well loved titles aswel.

I hope they get their shit sorted because I like them.

Please tell me this is a Region 1 release and not exclusive to Italy.

Maybe the reason BU decided not to pursue their own Blu-ray upgrade of this title is because they knew about Raro's plans? If so, can't wait to see what other titles they have planned that BU may have formerly had the rights to.

Looks like this might be my first Raro Video purchase I first saw this on VHS under the "City of the Walking Dead" title over a decade ago, and remember the awesome cheese! Bring on the Lenzi!

I sincerely doubt the first part, as BU just dumped the film in one of their budget multi-packs earlier this year - that seems to be where their entire focus lies, other than the possible Snuff disc. BU doesn't even really participate in social media, unlike every other label around - their FB page only has four updates in all of 2013, and one of them was a brief statement about Jess Franco last week. They're pretty much stagnant in general. As for the second part, I also wonder if Raro will be putting more BU Eurosleaze titles, as BU is clearly uninterested in releasing them (or everything else) and/or can't afford new HD scans.

Here's what I don't get: BU released their Hell of the Living Dead/Nightmare City double feature DVD earlier this year (1/29/13). Both labels can't have the rights simultaneously, so the rights must've expired when exactly? At the end of January?

Is that always the case? Not counting public domain titles, aren't there films that have been released by more than one label without one of them being/going OOP?

Going by this, could it mean RARO is prepping Hell of the Living Dead and others for Blu? Man, am I intrigued
