I doubt it, will probably start at £70 and come down to approx £50 on release date.

Sainsburys are starting off with the pre order at £50.99 instead of the usual £70, hopefully it will come down a bit further.

S3 out on Monday has only dropped a couple of pounds upto release day, so don't expect to go much cheaper.

The US is also getting the S4/S5 two-parter 'Redemption' as a standalone release. I assume we'll get it too which will be fantastic - as someone who loves a bit of TNG but can't justify spending so much on the sets I'll happily build up a little collection of the feature-length releases.

Especially if Sainsburys keeps releasing them at £6.99

Season 3 has dropped a bit more than a couple of quid, it started off at £77.

If I remember correctly season 1 pre order started at about £50 and I picked that up for £40, so hoping for the same here

Just noticed the image on the Amazon product page is missing the slipcover. If that's the case, rather annoying of Paramount to drop the slipcovers halfway through the show.

Wouldn't worry just yet. The Season 1 set image doesn't have one either but it had one.

Aha, well, when I ordered Season 1 there was a slipcover in the image, but when I got it, no slipcover. (I read somewhere that the Season 1 set with the corrected audio never came with a slipcover?) I asked Amazon about it, they said they had no control over what the distributor gave them, and a few weeks later the slipcover-less image appeared.

I have both the original and the audio-corrected version and they both have slip covers.

I'd guess they only produced a limited amount of them and if people want them with slips they should pre-order and get them when they first come out because it seems clear that if they go back and are forced to produce a second batch they tend to cut corners with costs. Thus ditching the slip covers.

The initial stock has a slip but later stock won't so if you want one its best to pre-order, the slip for the Sampler was also very limited and disappeared after only 1 or 2 weeks as did the £5 discount voucher.

Also the corrected Season 1 set did have a slip, infact it was slightly different as it had the delta symbol on the spine which has since been replicated on Season 2 and 3.

Ah, I see. I was slow on the get-go with Season 1. Still curious about the S4 image, but will just have to wait and see I guess.

I'd be surprised if the season 4 set doesn't have a slip. Certainly hope it does.

I bought season 1 from HMV online, came with a slip. Bought season 2 from the same outlet, no slip cover, despite getting both on DOR.

After going to the extra effort of making our release of BOBW have the fancy foldout slip and protective clear slip I highly doubt they will suddenly just drop them completely, remember that is just a temporary pic for a title 3 months away that could yet have an artwork change.

Had mine dispatched today too and I also had my US copy of Redemption drop through the letterbox today but not sure whether I should wait until I reach the end of Season 4 or stick it on tonight.
