Seattle International Film Festival and Crypticon are coming up in May, so I'm thinking about my autograph collection again. I didn't put my own name in the thread title, though, so that maybe this can be a general thread for people interested in autographs.
For the record, I have collected all but one of my autographs in person -- no worries that any of these are fake. I did just send out a package in the mail hoping to get a few autographs, but only after numerous people determined that person signs for real TTM. Bruce Campbell on The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II "Book of the Dead" editions David Lynch Heather Langenkamp, Amanda Wyss, Rodney Eastman, Brooke Bundy and Andras Jones Margot Kidder Felissa Rose Juliette Lewis (both got smeared) George A. Romero (and others) Malcolm McDowell P.J. Soles Lori Cardille, Jarlath Conroy, and Tom Savini Don Hertzfeldt John DiMaggio DiMaggio, Maurice LaMarche, and Billy West Bryan Lee O'Malley Don Coscarelli Chris Pine (I learned afterward that he's supposed to be tough to get, but he was perfectly nice to me) Melanie Lynskey Tim Blake Nelson William Friedkin Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson Terry Zwigoff Phil LaMarr and my crown jewel: John Carpenter Last edited by tylergfoster; 03-25-2017 at 03:33 PM. |

Cool, I would like to get Rooker on my copy of Slither someday. He was at Emerald City Comic Con, but I was broke and standing in con lines takes all day already...plus, many of these are from screenings and events -- always nice to get autographs for free rather than having to pay for them.

Only actor I have is Mathew McConahey where we signed my U-571 DVD cover. He placed JKL on it as well for Just keep livin. the mother of One of the ladies I work with is like a mom to him and when he was here in CO promoting Sahara I got to meet him at a campground he was staying at near Golden Co. I also got a a signed movie poster for Sahara that I had signed and got framed for my dad and Matt gave me a Sahara hat he had in his RV. Good times!

Andy Garcia was here at the Seattle International Film Festival with his new movie Middleton. Vera Farmiga was here too, but I was lucky to get Andy on his way out -- the rep said no, but Andy said "It's okay!" and was very nice.

I was in the building when he was there, but I didn't see him and I wouldn't have had any items for him anyway. Hopefully she produces something else next year! Me too. I like meeting people at conventions. Unfortunately their handlers can be a bit on the dick side of things and try to push you through like cattle. Sorry, but if I'm paying for their autograph I'd also like to thank them for coming and making great memories for me. I need to track down a place to buy some 8x11 picture frames and get my stuff on the wall.

I'm going to a few conventions this year in hopes of getting Sam (Sean Astin) and Gimili (John Rhys-Davies) to sign something. Is it best to buy a poster (I'm a tad worried about crinkling and tearing it) or individual photos? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, guys and gals!

If you are going to do posters I'd recommend a tube to protect it. Some art supply stores sell one's that actually have shoulder straps. I do photos myself and I have a binder filled with 8x11 sheet protectors. I've even gone as far as to include our names to help when the actors can't hear who to make it out to. Anyway, you should be able to get all of this at a Staples or Business Costco?
