Well there goes my theory that it would be released the month before TNG Season 4, that is unless TNG gets pushed back to September which wouldn't surprise me.

Yeh. I'm surprised they are taking that long to release this as they already have the HD masters and there is nowhere near the amount of work that's been done on TNG.

Me neither. My mate in LA who's done the Blu-Ray mastering on TNG since the first series revealed he only got Season 4 to START on last week.

With all the remastering that's been done to date, and what's likely to come over the next 4/5 years, it's ironic that the one series shot to be broadcast in HD is going to end up looking the worst out of all of them!

I'll probably end up picking up the ENT BDs at some point, just for the completionist in me's sake. Won't be paying day 1 price for them though.

Pre-order on Sainsburys is now up, starting off at only £22.99 (I don't know if that's a mistake or Season 1 sales were really bad) Will be interesting to see what Amazon do

Had to pre-order at that price Hoping Season 1 comes down a bit more though, don't want to go straight into watching Season 2 before ever seeing the first season..

Amazon pre-order is now up, £24.95. Season 1 sales must have been really bad.

I guess it wasn't a mis-price then, shocked that they have cut the price in half but very pleased.

Frankly, I can think of no reason why season 1 had such a high price to begin with. CBS didn't remaster the episodes and the show is 12 years old. 25 pounds is a far more reasonable price and a lot more people will pick this show up now.

It could be an error on CBS's part, a typo on their SRP. 24 pounds instead of 42.

I think most likely it's just a reaction to very low sales of the first season.

Plenty of strikes against it;

1. It's a poor season
2. Not many people watched Enterprise to begin with
3. Not remastered
4. People might not be able to afford Enterprise AND TNG at the same time
5. Price was waaaaay too high

I'm happy enough to pick up the sets for £20-£25 but anything higher than that and I'm quite happy to play the waiting game.

I just hope that they don't take this as a sign of how well DS9 and VOY sets might fare.

That's exactly what I was thinking, I would hate to think that poor sales of Enterprise would put them off doing DS9 and VOY, was part of the reason why I was prepared to buy Enterprise at £50 to show there is a market for Trek past TNG on BD.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Just hope they're smart enough to remember that both DS9 and VOY were more popular than ENT. Granted, not as popular as TOS or TNG, but definitely moreso than ENT. Guess one thing for them to take away from ENT season 1 is that if you think you're going to get great sales from upconverting the FX rather than redoing them, then people aren't going to pay through the nose to buy it.

According to Trekcore it was a limited time promotional offer so should be honoured by those that had it but the price will go up to the usually £45/50 shortly.
