My favorite movie of the year so far. I faintly hoping for a Criterion release, but a release along the lines of The Tree of Life will please me as well.

This will likely be extremely light on the supplements, which is a shame, but there is no way I won't purchase it.

Is Magnolia releasing this?

Edit: it appears they are, so it probably will be low on supplements.

I really wanted to see this in the theater as I love Malick, but it was only playing in one super-crappy theater in L.A. (at the Westside Pavilion) and I thought it would go wider a week or so later. It never did and was gone in a flash. TREE OF LIFE opened here much wider, at the Arclight, etc. Guess they didn't want to deal with empty theaters again so shortly afterwards with this one. :-(

An easy blind-buy. Heck, even the trailer was 2-minutes of bliss.

I don't mind the cover art. I think the darker one would have been cool, but I'm still fine with it.

Woof. That artwork is hilarious. Almost brings to mind one of the worst cover arts in my DVD collection.

I almost can't believe that's real. I can see people not buying the film because of that terrible cover art. Wonder what Malick thinks of this abomination?

Why didn't they use Neil Kellerhouse's poster art, the dark blue one? It matches the style of the Criterion art on The Thin Red Line.

The picture of Olga Kurylenko at the top looks creepy. And that font! It looks like it was laid out in Microsoft Word and the designer thought "how can I jazz this up? I know, I'll put the word Wonder in *italics*!"

Anyway, I have the UK release on it's way to me, I might can my preorder for the Magnolia version if it doesn't have any more extras. The Magnolia artwork makes me

haha woah, that's a major fail. The UK one is pretty busy and still imperfect but that's the one I'm going for now. Nice one Magnolia haha

LOL. It's like when you print a document, and one of the fonts isn't installed, you get something else subsituted automatically and it looks all wrong....THAT'S WHAT THIS COVER LOOKS LIKE

Here's a link for the UK BR review. Looks interesting.

Thought Affleck's comment, after seeing the final cut was hilarious,

"It makes Tree of Life look like Transformers"
