I've pre-ordered this with Amazon.com ; it would probably be cheaper to buy the British release. I wonder if the package will be the same.

Wish they'd revisit these films and give them some retrospective documentaries or something, or unearth some making of docs from around that time...just anything!

Yeah, I'm kind of wondering just how ultimate this Mad Max release will be. Regardless, I've ordered the new US releases of parts 2 and 3 and will see what this UK Mad Max release brings, before I part with my US disc.

Will be great to finally have all 3 of these on Blu-ray.

Currently, I only own Mad Max 2 on Blu-ray, but also have all 3 films on DVD.

I eagerly await this Blu-ray release

They got Mel and Danny together again for the Lethal Weapon special features, here's hoping they can get Mel, Bruce Spence, Toecutter and Vernon Wells all together too.

So the Tin gas can box is only Mad Max while the other non-tin is the 3 disc trilogy?

Why does the tin say Mad Max Collection?

I'd say they're both trilogies. I can't see them charging nearly £30 for one movie.

Or it's just temporary artwork on the tin.

Seems fairly simple to me: they're both trilogy sets, one just comes in a goofy petrol can case. But seeing as they're the same price, I've ordered the, er, goofy petrol can case.

I like the tin design though, it looks better than the US Blu-ray trilogy set (though that design may well be on the actual cover of the UK Blu-ray Trilogy case) and the photoshop of horrors that is the Mad Max 2 Blu-ray cover(s).
