Wow!

Only two-and-a-half years' late!

At this rate we'll be getting The Poseidon Adventure any time soon, say 2017.

Just watched this and I must say the picture quality is not good no better than a second rate DVD
Very disappointing.

I picked up the import of this but it never played despite it saying it was multi region. I will get this I think as it looked quite a decent film.

Sorry to refresh a very old thread.
But did this blu ray artwork ever see the light of day? The one of Peck in the airplane?

I like it MUCH better than the US version and would like to buy an unwrinkled version. Was it ever released in the UK with this cover?
Thank you.
ML

Thank you sir. I see one on ebay, super high, but it looks like a stock photo, so I wanted to be sure of the cover.

Thank you.
Best regards.

I'm not quite sure why you'd be contemplating inflated prices on ebay when to the best of my knowledge it's still available on Amazon.UK for £16.72 + p&p, with the artwork it's always had here which you're evidently keen on.

Yes I checked that. Its out of stock at amazon UK and there is only one seller offering it. And that says: "This item cannot be shipped to your selected delivery location. Please choose a different delivery location."
So that seller won't ship to US.
Thanks.

Plot twist: it seems Disney are finally reissuing some Fox back catalogue stuff, starting with both Twelve O'Clock High and The Grapes of Wrath...both released January 27th. Didn't see that coming!

The new release is available from HMV now, amazon seem to have found copies of the 2013 fox one. The new release of Twelve O'Clock High is likely the same as 2013, at least haven't heard of any restoration done.

Personally speaking, the one that I really want to make a comeback, from those old Fox titles, is Niagara!
That's one of the only ones that went OOP that I missed at the time, that I properly regretted afterwards . It's a classic noir... But in three-strip Technicolor! .

Thankfully I bagged that one before it went OOP (it was cheap at HMV for a short while), but did miss out on others. Hopefully they just start reissuing these titles, they're not really doing anything else with the Fox library as it stands so may as well recoup a bit of money from their investments...
