Thanks for the heads up. It seems like there will be four versions of Into Darkness in France :

- The DVD version (€20).
- The DVD + Blu-ray + CD version (€25).
- The DVD + Blu-ray + 3D Blu-ray version (€30).
- And then this one : DVD + Blu-ray + 3D Blu-ray + a Phaser (€70).

All these will all probably have their price decrease by €5 until their release in five months from now. And my uninformed guess would be that the €30 version will be found in the €70 set, it'd be weird to do a different packaging for the exact same product (except one has a prop gun). Therefore, that steelbook in the €70 version should also be available without the €40 prop.

Looking forward to it. You can also find the Star Trek white steelbook on amazon.fr for €20. I have it, it is beautiful and there are plenty of subtitles to choose from. Don't know if it's Region Free though.

The phaser one will probably go down more than 5€.
Otherwise, I'm pretty sure that the single version with Blu-Ray 2D+3D will also be the SB version.

I would have love to buy the first one on SB, but unfortunately, the second disc with all the special features is gone. I'll keep my amaray version because of that.

I had the US 3D & Phaser set ordered but after shipping and customs the French release works out slightly cheaper plus it has a steelbook so I switched my order.

I don't care which country does it, but they better use this for the steelbook:

I think it would match the Star Trek (2009) steelbook perfectly. The Enterprise traveling through warp. Yes!!!

^If that is used for the art, I may double dip on that steelbook and the normal release art of the falling Enterprise as my copy to take out and watch and the steelbook as my copy to ogle.

Gah! I wan't a UK release for this so much

I just wan't the steelbook, not too worried about the phaser, but the chances of the UK steelbook including the 3D copy are slim to none so this is on order for now

I've ordered the non-steelbook US phaser version, but I'm afraid there will be customs cost added to it.

I might go for this one, but I'm also afraid that the menus are just in french and nothing else.

oh the choices we have to make

Its a Paramount release so expect them to use the exact same disc across most of Europe which will start with a menu listing a ton of languages to choose from.

Dropping down to around 60 Euro would come in handy. Would certainly make buying all 4 designs a little easier to swallow.
