Default Batman The Animated Series

Probably the best animated show ever made IMO!

I recalled the year before the show was released as i was reading in Starlog magazine about the upcoming Batman Returns with an animated show in the works, i couldn't wait as i dreamed of an animated show since 1989 and i watched the pilot episode on TV "On Leather Wings" 21 years ago on August when i was 11 and it didn't disappoint me as i would tape and watch the animated show sometimes on prime time or every afternoon.

I was only seven or eight when this series first appeared, I can remember my dad watching the first few episodes he was worried about the series being to dark. It fast became one of my favorite series, it still has tho be in my top ten.

Kevin Conroy and especially Mark Hamill gave some of the best vocal performances for a series I have ever heard.

I was around 8 years old as well when the series first aired as well and my brother and I were fans of it for a long time. Definitely wouldn't mind having these on blu-ray if they were to come out. Perhaps when that happens they will also include the movies along with them.

I watched it when I was younger too, and I've been watching the DVD's for the past few months, and they're just awesome. Unlike with other older cartoons, these actually get better with age. It's my dream that a live-action movie could have the same feeling and look of this show. I don't know if we'll ever see them on BD though, it'd probably be a big undertaking to clean them up, and such.

I remember this one. One of the few great animated series that didn't talk down to kids and had intelligent, sophisticated storytelling.

Great show. I read somewhere they drew it on black paper instead of white to make sure it always had a dark look to it. My favorite episode was always the Joker's Favor where that guy gets road rage on someone who cuts him off and it turns out to be the Joker who then follows the guy home and lets him off the hook for his behavior but he owes the Joker a favor in return.

Yeah that was a great one. It's called "Joker's Favor". I think my favorite would be the 2-parter with Clayface, called "Feats of Clay". I also really liked "Beware the Gray Ghost" which starred Adam West as the Gray Ghost.

Christian Bale and Michael Keaton did amazing jobs as Batman but Kevin Conroy as Batman in this series will always be the definitive Batman in my books.

Watched it growing up. The greatest animated series of all time! I own volume one on DVD. And Mask of Phantasm is fantastic as well!

One of my favorite TV shows of all time period. I own V1 - 4, but still need Mask Of The Phantasm (come on Blu!).

I'd love the complete series on Blu too. I never watched Batman Beyond much, but I'd take that too.

It is a masterpiece. Still too this day, I still watch them every now and then when I can. I was lucky to have gotten the infamous Batman:The Complete Animated Series set. All I can say is... great boxset. This is probably why I love Batman a lot. Very well written & Kevin Conroy/Mark Hamill are just perfect. A MUST OWN for everybody.

Oh yes i did watched it every afternoon after school and even sometimes on prime time as i taped and watched the show religiously.

I even collected Batman Adventures comics and i even had a crush on Harley, Catwoman (Well always had a crush on her since i was 8 reading the comics and watching reruns of the 60's show), Zantanna and Ivy when i was a kid and teen, lol. I mean Bruce Timm knows how to draw sexy animated women.
