Default List of exclusive HDM releases through Q4

I took the release dates for all of the (what I think will be big sellers, not necessarily every title) upcoming exclusive titles for both BD and HDDVD. I left neutral titles out because we all know how much better neutral does on BD anyway.

The reason I did this was to see everyone's input on how these weeks will go. I was looking at the nielsen charts and I wasnt too stoked on the idea that HDDVD olny lost the week by 5%. The YTD has gone down a percentage point these last 2 weeks. I know a percentage is not much but I want to stomp HDDVD by the end of Q4. What does everyone think on the weeks below? What weeks do you think we will win and which ones will be cutting it close? Think there are some weeks where we should schedule a buy-a-thon? Any input is appreciated!!

There should be Die Hard residuals...otherwise looks pretty good. How well will Star Trek do?

its not going to do well, you really think people who buy 98 dollar hardware are going to spend 230 bucks on software? i don't think so. and they've po'd a lot of fans by adding and redoing special fx. so there fanbase really isn't going to help them out a whole lot. i don't think we will see it crack the top 10 on the nielsen

I think November 13th and the 27th will be very difficult weeks. Also with Dec 11th. I may be the only one that thinks so. Shrek will probably put a damper on the numbers because BD doesnt have any strong titles that week.

As much as I, my wife, and others enjoyed Stardust, I think Dec 18th will go to Simpsons Movie. Plus, is right before Christmas, and may make another big sway.

Now I'm thinking I won't even buy Stardust on DVD, because the studio supports HD-DVD exclusively.

can we schedule a buy-a-thon for one of these hard november days? I hate seeing a 50/50 split between an inferior format

Ultimate Force is being released on both formats. Will this really be a big seller.

Oh and Red Dawn and Ronin are more than likely going to be delayed.

You also have to take into account that even if they are releasing on both formats that week, Blu will sell more than red. That's the way the numbers have been going so you've have to assume they will continue in that direction.

You can add Jin-Roh (Blu-ray) to the list.
