The logo says that it is Hot Wheels so it'll probably be made of die cast metal I am guessing since that's their standard fare. Steelbook looks nice enough though to where I wouldn't mind buying this version instead of importing one and honestly the lack of the 3D version doesn't bother me since I couldn't play it anyways.

If you were somehow planning on getting both the ship and the movie, this is a great price. I think the ship is in scale with the much smaller Enterprise that you may be able to find for $1 in the toy aisle (though not likely as scalpers have probably long picked them up).

I like steelbooks... but don't like extra toys and trinkets... so I hope there will be a way to get just the steelbook/movie without the extra stuff at a cheaper price.

I like this Steelbook design but not excited going to Walmart to find an undamaged copy.

I fear that since it comes with the ship, that it will come in a box that conceals the steelbook and thus makes it more difficult to check for blemishes and general QC errors.

THIS!!! I've already got the Phaser Special Edition from Amazon on pre-order and I'm going to give away the movie to my father in-law for Christmas and I'll be needing the steelbook since I have the 1st film in steelbook...then again I do have the HW Enterprise, so maybe I should just get this as well...

I really wish they would at least offer a version with a 3D disc. I want the steelbook, but I don't want to have to buy 2 copies of the movie.

The ship is a decent size. I have 3 of them already (I collect Trek toys). They came out a month or two back at about $15-18 retail, but, they are currently sold out everywhere and are hard to come by. And nobody really knows if more waves will come out because Trek toys are not selling very well right now -- so it is a distinct possibility the line will be abandoned.

So the ship alone currently is going for $25 and up on eBay.

If you don't want it, stop whining and sell it like a business man. Also many Trek toy collectors may buy this just to get the ship, considering the movie a bonus, so that might create more scarcity.

I think I like that SteelBook cover best of the 3 I've seen so far. Not really sure about the back & inside though. Also wish it were 3D.

I bet this is the one I'll buy though. And it might make me buy the black UK STXI SteelBook to go with it even though I like the white one better.
