Pacific Rim 3D Blu-ray

Pacific Rim Blu-ray

Pacific Rim (2013)

When an alien attack threatens the Earth's existence, giant robots piloted by humans are deployed to fight off the menace.

Starring: Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Max Martini, Ron Perlman

Director: Guillermo del Toro

No pre-orders yet, but shouldn't be too long unless it pulls a box office miracle. I'm not sure if I'm getting it because it was definitely a theater experience. I don't think it will have the same effect on a TV.

I was indifferent. At one end the action was brilliant and it was the epitome what a summer blockbuster should be... but I was disappointed with the lack of variety. I think everyone should experience it once but I have no desire to ever re-watch it because the story/characters weren't all that interesting. Which has always been true for this genre but still.. I guess I was expecting a little bit more.

I'm sure that this will be out in time for the Christmas season.

Pacific Rim was the most fun new movie that I've seen in recent memory.

Great film. An excellent ensemble cast. I loved how at the core of it it's about how if we band together as a team, as one entity (the human race) we can accomplish anything.

I think that aspect will help it make back a lot of its money at the worldwide box office, kind of like Life of Pi it's a movie anyone can relate to.

I honestly thought the film could be longer, I could use some more kaiju fights or some more stuff from the beginning like the first attack of SF. It was such a great fun film. Hope for a longer cut and tons of extras.

I'm guessing it comes out in November or December like Dark Knight Rises did.

Awesome movie! Loved every minute of it, plus you can never go wrong with Charlie Hunnam and Rob Kazinsky.

I going to pick this up in the 3d set ( even though I don't have a 3d t.v) this was one of the only good movies this year that the 3d work for the film.

So many movies and stories have that theme, going back to antiquity, yet we still hate on each other.

I hope there is a LOTR style doc on there. I want to see all the pre production that went into it.

I hope it's packed with extras like Del Toro's previous films. I heard that there's an entire hour of footage that was cut from the film, let's hope we'll see a lot of that as deleted scenes.

I'm definitely getting the 3D version for this, it looked great in IMAX, especially for a conversion.
