Home of the Brave and Memento

Are these two movies any good? How is the PQ for both?

as far as the movie goes? memento is in my top 10 all time. if i remember from the tier thread on avs tho, its not too high on the pq chart, altho that wont stop me from getting it

I don't know why re: poor PQ, because I thought it was a great transfer. AVS probably complains about the scenes with grain, which is just the nature of film. But yes, pick this one up regardless.

Home of The Brave was also good, heavy on drama, which focused more on the soldiers' lives after they all come home. Quite powerful at times, but for me not one I could watch again and again.

i watched Memento last night,

I love the movie
the PQ is very good
the audio, which is mostly dialog, is very clear in DD 5.1(i am unable to utilize the PCM 5.1)

I keep seeing the trailer for it and it makes me think its going to be a good movie. I think im going to get it as a blind buy...ill prob pick up memento as well. I'll get them next week after my three pixar movies come in

I have a list of about 30 back catalog titles that i want to get before the end of the year, thats not including all new releases, so i gotta start buying now
