I agree. I had 4 guys in a row ditch on me in NHL 08 because I was winning. It happens about 1/4 of the time Im winning.

I'm starting a new thread "Don't be a man and don't take a loss".

There should be a penalty (banned from PSN for a day) for people who quit. It should be 3 quits= 1 day, 10 quits= 10 days.

If you DC during a game you should be given a loss automaticly to prevent that crap. =/

Fellas, that's been going on for a decade now. Not much they can do except just give you the win if they disconnect at some point in the game.

yeah lets start banning people for leaving... how stupid is that. if someone leaves... yea he/she is a puss. but hey not everyone is as mature as you guys and stick it out till the end but then again ur prolly playing against a 13 year old

people used to do this to me when i was big into command and conquer: tiberium sun, i would be a few hours into a ranked match and the other person would quit as soon as they seen the massive amount of vehicles and troops heading for their command vehicle. it would piss me off to no end.

this is a big culprit in socom as well. in RB6V the host just kicks you if your to good. game developers need to have a vote system for kicking players in which a specific % has to vote for kick ala socom to remove cheaters/glitches.

i agree, if someone quits on a regular basis, some sort of penalty should be issued in game to warn of common disconnecters.

People used to throw the monopoly board across the room, now they just pull the ethernet cable out of the wall.

At least it's less destructive.

Or what happens if they get kick offline? Should they get banned too? How does one decided if they where kick offline by accident or on purpose?

I don't quit my games but I do get kick off once in a while. Usually happens when I'm winning too.

I've had that happen from my end a couple of times when playing NBA2K7 (i.e. lost the network connection when I was losing). Thankfully, I was playing someone I knew so they didn't get too upset. So anyway, I usually give people the benefit of the doubt since I don't think it's always on purpose. BTW, I haven't had that happen with any of the 08 games yet though, thankfully.

back in the days when i played alot of starcraft it had a stats system witch showed who disconnected and so on.. this made the game more fun, because then when u played a ladder ranked game u could see if the person was a disconecter or not.. think gamestudios should introduse something like that. when its 1on1 games. so that u can have a good game
