Go to the listing here at Blu-ray.com and click on the buy link... that will take you to Amazon Japan, which has some better pictures and close-ups. Also, use Google Translate to translate the page to English and you may be able to get some info on specs and such.

Man, I would love to see pictures of this set...it looks fantastic. the discs are available here for around $18 each for 5 volumes so it is quite a bit more expensive, but it does look awesome!

Yes, please post lots of images of the set and screencaps too if possible. I too would love to get this set but there is now way I can afford the price. And even if I did take the plunge, I'm not sure my wife would ever forgive me!!!

More pictures and comments may help to get the source material released here at some point, hopefully at a more realistic price.

Hi,

The Amazon Japan listings suggest that this set contains the 16:9 versions of the episodes, not the original 4:3 versions. That for me, is one major reason not to buy the set, unless Amazon have got the listings wrong of course...

... which may well be the case.

Thanks for posting. Very interesting. I hope you enjoy watching the series and that your bank balance is ok

Can you comment on the PQ and AQ of the content? I've heard it's supposed to be FAB. Would love to hear the show without those infernal added sound effects again.

Excellent stuff. Thanks for the info.

I hope one day we get a set like this in the UK, plus the two original movies in their original aspect ratio. One can dream.

Enjoy!

I'd buy this, but the price is outrageous. Seriously, does Japan use their money for toiletries? What equals $300 in USD is what Japan considers a reasonable price... I don't get it. At leas the price has slowly been decreasing, it was $500...

I'm going to have to wait until somebody has the kindness to put this on a torrent...
