The wraparound jacket band and insert included with the 11th volume of Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan manga is announcing this week that a Nintendo 3DS game has been green-lit for this year. Spike Chunsoft is developing the game. More details will be in the October issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on September 9.

Strategy & Partners is developing a separate browser game for personal computers, and it already launched a social game, Shingeki no Kyojin -Hangeki no Tsubasa- (Attack on Titan: The Wings of Counterattack), on the GREE mobile platform. The manga's official Twitter account had revealed in April that a console or portable video game was planned, and producer George Wada had said that it was planned for next year.

Bring this to North America! I would 110% buy a retail copy, and pay more for a collector's, but if subs and digital only is the only way to play, I'll still pay.

Atlus USA announced at Nintendo Direct on Wednesday that it will release the Nintendo 3DS game Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains (Shingeki no Kyojin ~Jinrui Saigo no Tsubasa~ CHAIN) in North America and Europe this May. The game will be exclusive to the Nintendo eShop.

Spike Chunsoft's Shingeki no Kyojin ~Jinrui Saigo no Tsubasa~ CHAIN game is the updated version of its 2013 game Shingeki no Kyojin ~Jinrui Saigo no Tsubasa~ game, and shipped in Japan in December.

This updated version includes internet cooperative play for up to four players, as well as C-Stick support for the New Nintendo 3DS. The Story Mode offers five character routes that run parallel to the original manga.

As a promotion for the game, the first two episodes of the anime will be available for free on the Nintendo eShop.
