Already have mine pre-ordered at MovieStop. I've gone twice now to see this in theaters. I'm doing my hardest to get another sequel lol. While they aren't masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, I still find them enjoyable. Plus I'm a huge fan of the books and don't want to see the films stop at Sea of Monsters.

I'm taking my oldest son and nephew this weekend. My son is excited- my nephew has read all the books so he's curious about this film in light of how much they changed in the first film he says.

That was fast and the movie has only been out for a day. Hopefully I see the movie this weekend. Still got to see 2 guns and really wanna see elysium. Screw the rotten tomatoes critics that gave this 33%! Those people need to be fired!

warrior, How is the camera work Sea of Monsters? I very much dislike movies made with handheld cameras and/or shaky cam stuff.

I have Percy Jackson & The Olympians on BD and like it very much.

Hi all,

I have two questions about this movie.

1. Do you have informations about an extended version of the movie?
2. Do you know if the 3D version is coming with a normal bluray version of the movie?

thx

I found that the release date could be in october.

A 2D version is included (see artwork in first post.) no information regarding and extended cut.

I for one thought the 3D was really well done.

Nice. Unfortunely, I didn't get to see the 3d version. My carmike cinemas took out the 3d version before I got the chance to see it within the week it was out. Lucky I had movie cash when I bought the pagemaster and the first Percy Jackson movies.

I haven't seen this yet, but it looks like they stuck more closely to the books for this one, fortunately. I still can't believe how badly they butchered the first one. I hope they get to finish all 5.

According to an Amazon.ca listing Percy Jackson Sea of Monsters will be coming out December 17th 2013.

I liked the film but not as much as I loved the first one.

could the cinematography BE any more drab and boring ... I really wanted to like this, but something about it visually was just flat dull.

I like the first one, but thought this paled in comparison. If you think it's worth a blind buy because you liked the first one, maybe think twice. Just a word of advice. Obviously, I can only speak for myself.
