I have gift cards to both wal-mart and hastings, so the cost doesn't matter. wal-mart seems to be promoting hd dvd more, but still gives more shelf space to blu-ray. hastings is very close to going blu-ray exclusive. Whatever store gets more votes, is the one i but it from.

I've never heard of Hastings. Must be some American only company or soemthing. Supporting Wal-mart is a good plan though even though it may seem like a lost cause as I doubt Walmart will ever back one or the other exclusively. If they sell more Blu-Ray though, they may try to promote it more, which is a very good thing.

No worries in your case as you have the gift cards. What Ben's trying to point out is that those of us who do purchase from Amazon can support this site by using the embedded links on blu-ray.com to purchase.

thats cool, i do get most of my movies from amazon.com, i just had these cards and wanted to use them on a blu, not on 10 cent ramen. anyways, last i saw it was tied. i went to hastings and they had expanded hd dvd, i was shocked, so i went ahead and bought it on blu-ray there. that way it shows up on the nielsen's too. wal-mart was 2 bucks cheaper, but f'it, it was free anyway.

Awe I didn't even know about that...crap I've bought almost all my movies from amazon.com and I've never once used that. Thanks I'll do that from now on. Too bad I didn't look around harder before.
