Meh. As long as it's £22.99 like S2 was over here, I'm happy with it.

That cover art is pretty crappy. Oh well, I'll just be happy if they release the U.S. set at $60 again. Still haven't picked up season 2 since it's been $70+ currently $77.85 on amazon ... ridiculous price per season for this series considering that they didn't do anything new to it and they're available for free streaming on amazon prime & netflix.

Yay, sooner than I expected! I'll have the whole series before the rest of TNG is out...

The cast is fun. I'd say there are more good episodes than bad ones.

Seasons 1-2 of Enterprise felt like seasons 8-9 of Voyager (and I thought Voyager was a horrible show that failed on its premise and gave us the same old over and over again, especially when it game to technobabble, time travel and reset buttons), but season 3 they got to do their own thing with a season-long arc, and season 4 felt like the show it should've been all along (with the exception of the series finale which was insulting even though the showrunners claimed it was a valentine to the fans).

That's not surprising. None of the season sets for any of the Star Trek series have included UV copies.

That's because the CGI in Star Trek Enterprise must have been done in HD so they don't have to rework it all like they're having to with The Next Generation.

They didn't even start shooting HD on Enterprise until the fourth season, but the CG was used from the start so that's why the ships in HD don't stand up to detail.

Creating new CG for TNG isn't why it is taking along time, they are re-creating each episode from scratch using the original 35mm negatives, pretty much doing all the post production again.

Enterprise on the other hand has always had HD masters ready to go, they have just dusted them off, done some tweaks and slapped them on a BD.

Well, they still shot on film and that's a "HD" format.

The CG was rendered over time in gradually higher resolutions. Season 3 onwards is roughly 720p for the FX.

Yeah, that cover art is terrible. And T'Pol's wig in that cover is from the pilot episode promo pics, it isn't how she looked later on and sure doesn't match her season 3 look at all.

Enterprise is the most-like TNG of all the follow-up series, but it is uneven. The final season is the best, when the showrunners loosened up their strangle-hold on what kind of stories could be told. But the whole brief series is pretty good.

Thanks for the reply. I'm more of a fan of the Patrick Stewart Star Trek
