Default Excellent New Ratatouille Commercial

I just saw a commercial for ratatouille. It said, "buy it now on dvd or experience better quality picture and sound on blu-ray". this is the best way to word it by far, because saying buy it on dvd and on high def. only on blu-ray, gives ppl the impression they can get it on hd dvds IMO, remember we are dealing with avg. american who got their first dvd player in 2003, just saying dvd and blu-ray means nothing to most people. but making people aware they are not getting the best quality product from dvd and need blu-ray to experience the best version really makes a big difference.

I agree and I have been seeing the Ratatouille commercial over and over which brings a smile to my face knowing the masses are finally being educated and that I already have this title in my library.

I like that wording a lot better, the more description the better. Also because sometimes when they say "on high def. only on Blu-Ray" it's said really quickly, almost in an auctioneer type speed and that makes people less likely to hear it.

You are correct...that is the way to advertise...

Funny that I just saw a Shrek commercial and they only advertised the DVD version.

Certainly not the way to support the company that just paid them millions to be exclusive.

I have to say again (because I've said it on these forums a few times before) that Disney is the only Blu-ray supporter that is truly doing it right and making a grand effort to make Blu-ray succeed.

No other Blu-ray supporter has done anything near the quality and effectiveness as Disney.

Disney rules.

Josh is the news editor for this site (Blu-ray.com). I was just joking around, but how cool would it be to have a SG on the main page straddling the blu-ray logo?? hmmm..

While I would love it, I doubt it would fly as I think the site's "G" rating would be out the window.

You should do a photoshoot with some Blu-ray discs or something... talk about a good advertisement.
