The film sees Kellan Lutz (The Twilight Saga, The Expendables 3) taking on the role of the hero of Greek mythology, and joined by a cast that also includes Gaia Weiss, Scott Adkins, Roxanne McKee, Liam Garrigan, Liam McIntyre, Rade Serbedzija, Johnathon Schaech, and Luke Newberry.

In Ancient Greece 1200 B.C., a queen succumbs to the lust of Zeus to bear a son promised to overthrow the tyrannical rule of the king and restore peace to a land in hardship. But this prince, Hercules (Lutz), knows nothing of his real identity or his destiny. He desires only one thing: the love of Hebe (Weiss), Princess of Crete, who has been promised to his own brother. When Hercules learns of his greater purpose, he must choose: to flee with his true love or to fulfill his destiny and become the true hero of his time. The story behind one of the greatest myths is revealed in this action-packed epic - a tale of love, sacrifice and the strength of the human spirit.

FYI, this is not to be confused with the other and probably better Hercules film starring Dwayne Johnson.

basically, I've just seen the whole movie and I have to say it was terrible!

also, it's a sin mentioning this one along with Spartacus and Gladiator!!

Renny Harlin - what happened to you? While I think the 300 sequel looks pretty good, this Hercules looks like an awful, amateurish knock off of 300 and Gladiator. Just awful looking.

Looks like they have ripped off about three different styles of greek epic, from 300/Immortals, Gladiator and the Spartacus tv series. Looks awful!

It looks like a film I think I might enjoy when/if it comes out on bd!

Although I'll check it out 1st. w/our library.

I love these mythical type of shows, if done well enough for my viewing!!

I'm glad I still have a child-like aura when it comes to seeing movies!!!

lol. That was awful. Almost certainly PG-13, so maybe the kids who watched Clash/Wrath of the Titan will bite.

Also seems like it will be competing with the 300 sequel/prequel/whatever, which will certainly be better (though may still suck).

Does indeed look terrible. Completely inorganic looking, but not even in a 300 type of way, in which at least felt a bit gritty compared to this. Acting looks god awful as well.

hate to jump on the bandwagon but DAMN this looks awful!!! looks like a cheap knock off of 300 and Spartacus TV series. the dialogue is beyond painful, simply atrocious....just plain bad.

Wait, so there is another Hercules movie? I was wondering why I didn't see Dwayne in this trailer. Cool...definitely looking forward to that one. I think I enjoyed the following trailer more than the new one:
