I love concert blu-rays and I love Black Sabbath, but as far as I'm concerned after they refused to have founding member drummer Bill Ward on the studio album or tour, this isn't a true reunion and I won't be buying. First they said he wanted too much money(an equal share), then they said he couldn't remember the songs, then they said he was to fat.

Maybe it's because I'm a drummer that I feel this way, but I don't think so. I would feel the same way if they pulled this on bass player Geezer Butler. To me, if all the original members are still alive and wanted to be a part of this, they should have. I guess they can pad their pockets a little more without him now.

Annoying that the overpriced box of junk edition is the only way to get the blu ray with three more tracks and two extra features

I'll pass. I'm really sick of bands tuning down several notes to be able to perform live, usually due to the singers' inability to hit the notes anymore.

Please, singers.....quit pissing on your legacy. Either do it properly and correctly, or JUST STOP.

The band did not say that. Bill Ward said it.

While I agree Bill Ward is awesome, I can understand the band not waiting on him. How many times did he leave Iommi before?

Here here. Especially annoying that one of those songs is "Under the Sun," one of the greatest metal songs ever. Probably going to pass on this.

I wonder if they will edit out the strings that they use to hold Ozzy up on stage?

That's for sure.

I also blame Sharon for the extra songs not being included on the stand-alone Blu Ray release.

Agreed. Ward was the greatest rock drummer of all time AFAIC, with possible exception of Keith Moon. Much better than Bonham. His playing was integral to Sab's sound. If he's not in the reunion, it's not a reunion.

No kidding, one of my favorite songs by Sabbath . Don't even want to know what that deluxe set is gonna cost, just the blu is $36, toss in the CD and it's $58??!! WTF?! Black Sabbath has been my favorite band since I was a kid, but I might be skipping this, too.

Couldn't disagree more. Mainly because, even if they're not at their prime, they're still 1000X better than the horsesh!t being put out by today's new "artists" / "musicians".

I would like to get that deluxe edition, but quite simply, I am not paying the price that is being asked of it...so that leads me to the standard blu-ray...Until that blu-ray gets down to $19.99 or less, I won't be purchasing this...as of this post, it is going for $29.88 on Amazon and that is just a downright disgrace! Meanwhile...Rush wants $20 for their blu ray...Rolling Stones $15.99...Def Leppard $19.99 for the 2CD/blu-ray BBY exclusive package...Megadeth CD/Blu Ray for $22.99...Somebody needs to wake up the Black Sabbath camp and notify them that this $29.99 price is really uncalled for!

Well some of Sabbath's music has always been down tuned but I know what you mean. Ozzy will never hit the highs of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath again. Hasn't in years.

This box set is way overpriced. Standard edition is too.. $haron must need a new bag..for her face..

Thumbs up RedSabbath Speaks For The Greatest

Okay, I'll chime in on this. Back when this was first released I only could find the CD/DVD release, but about a year later I ordered the Blu. As for the performance, as a lifelong, all-era Sabbath fanatic, I was happy with it. Yes, Ozzy can't reach the notes anymore and Bill isn't there, but after almost fifty years of being around, we all should be happy that Tony, Geezer, & Ozzy are still there to play for us. I also own "Heaven And Hell-Radio City", probably a better performance, but we lost Dio shortly after. Yes, 13 is no say Master Of Reality, but again, we should be happy that we finally got some new music.

Every so often I plop the "Gathered" Blu in the player and enjoy. I even enjoy the CD version (though it's edited down for time), so it bugs me when I hear "Ozzy's too old now" or crap like that. They are the Godfathers of Metal, regardless we should appreciate anything they do this far into the game.

Despite all of the negative comments posted, like it or not, Black Sabbath is no different than any other band that has been around as long as they have. Yes they are old, they have problems with each other, and their sound/vocals has suffered. The price is very affordable compared to what you have to pay for a Pink Floyd BDA disc. Let's just be happy that the godfathers of heavy metal is still around, and able to perform for the true fans. Show some respect for these classic rock bands that changed rock music in a big way. It is what it is, so all of the hater's need to just deal with it. Let's not forget that each of us will get old someday, and chances are we will not be able to do things as well as we once could. Kudo's for Black Sabbath.

I enjoy introducing my grandkids (yep, I'm almost as old as the artists) to real music. Too bad Ozzy has to drop F bombs at the rate of 17 per minute. Okay, that's an exaggeration but you get the point.

Don't worry too much - kids know those words already. I told my little ones that Ozzy smoke too much and drank too much booze and cooked his brain so much that he doesn't have any manners.
