Italy Gił la testa (Sergio Leone, 1971)

Sergio Leone's fabulous "Gił la testa" has been announced for December 4, along with "Once Upon a Time in the West" and "Il colosso di Rodi". No additional info at present.

I don't know for sure, but it should be Mondo Home Entertainment, which also released "Il buono, il brutto, il cattivo" and "Per qualche dollaro in pił". Same thing for "Once Upon a time in the west".

Nice, we were just asking for this in the GBU remaster thread (in the N.A. section).

I love Giu La Testa & the soundtrack is my favourite Morricone western score, so fingers crossed that it looks great...& has an English track.

I remember seeing this in the theatre when it was released. I went out and bought the vinyl soundtrack! It is also known as "Duck You Sucker".

Do you have the two CD set on Cinevox. The remastered sound is really good, & a whole CD of extra music.

Thanks for the link!. I'm not much of a CD guy, but that second Disc is of real interest, so I've added it to my cart. I've got a few items in it already and hope to make a purchase very soon. FYI - I buy more from Amazon UK than I do the US and CA sites. LOL!

What's the likelihood of an English audio track and Region A compatibility? If Mondo is releasing this, I'd say the chances of both are pretty much nonexistent.

"Il buono..." and "For a Few Dollars More" were both ABC, so there's chance. But in all likelihood there won't be Eng subs. However, "while there's life, there's hope".

I stand corrected. I thought they were both locked.

This release will probably not have either english audio or subs. Mondo has only rights for italian audio and subs.

This is my least favourite Leone film...

But its still very good and a must buy for me of course!

I cant think of any other director with such an amazing catalogue - absolutely nothing below very good and most are classics.

That's how I see it (hope you don't mind me doing it that way).

I love this film and hope the BD will have a nice transfer. I also hope that eventually there's a BD coming with all the bonus features from the 2-disc Special Edition DVD ...

Anyone know what is the best version of Fistful Of Dynamite to get which has english audio? I might have to do again what I describe below.

I just finished creating an english audio track for the Mondo Italian "For a few dollars more" disc. It's an avisynth script. If your into using it, most likely you are a fan of doom9 forum, then it's a piece of cake but you must obtain both the Italian and German blus. The german blu is the source of the audio for the italian blu video. Anyway there you go! I posted the script and directions on avsforum if you're interested.

According to dvd-store.it, 01 Distrubution is the producer of this Blu-Ray edition. So, I went to their home page, here. We can only hope and pray that this info is correct.
