Atelier Escha & Logy is getting an anime series, Gust announced at its 20th anniversary celebration today in Japan. The anime series will be produced by Studio Gokumi and will air in Japan in 2014, according to a 4Gamer report.
Atelier Escha & Logy was released in Japan earlier this year, and will be released in the west in early 2014. The game features two protagonists with interconnected stories. While Eschas campaign follows in the footsteps of traditional Atelier games, Logys story is focused more on exploration.
On Sunday, game developer Gust began streaming the video that announced an anime adaptation of its Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky (Atelier Escha & Logy ~Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi~) game. The same video ran during Gust's 20th anniversary presentation in November to unveil the anime.
The anime will debut this year from Studio Gokumi (Saki - The Nationals, Kin-iro Mosaic). This will be the first television anime adaptation from the Atelier franchise.
Gust shipped Atelier Escha & Logy ~Tasogare no Sora no Renkinjutsushi~ for PlayStation 3 in Japan on June 27. Los Angeles-based game company acttil confirmed on behalf of Tecmo KOEI America that Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky will be released in North America this year.
