Yes but it's in the Blu-ray North America section just like there are other Anime threads that haven't been merged yet.

Funimation and Eleven Arts have revealed the lineup for the United States screenings of the Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo anime film, which will start on January 10. The film will also be shown in participating Cineplex theaters in Canada on January 11 and 16, and Eleven Arts will announce the Canadian theater listing at a later date.

Funimation and Eleven Arts had revealed last month that they would be screening the film in the United States and Canada in Janaury 2014. Most of the screenings will feature the film's English dub, but some theaters will screen the film in Japanese with English subtitles.

Funimation had announced that it had licensed the film when its Facebook page had hit 1 million likes in June. The company has already revealed the film's English dub cast. Funimation will release the film on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on February 18.

The third film in Hideaki Anno's four-part remake of Gainax's Neon Genesis Evangelion anime series earned more than 5.1 billion yen during its theater run. While the first film hewed closely to the original television series, the second film went in a different direction, and the third film went still further in its own storyline.

It's playing at the same Alamo Drafthouse I went to last Monday to watch Akira.

Not sure if I want to go. I've already seen the movie and I just plain didn't like it as much as I did parts 1 & 2.

Since this is labeled "3.0" I'm assuming it will be subbed?

No the article says that most theaters will show the Dubbed version, but some theaters will show it both Subbed and Dubbed. So my guess is Funimation got the theatrical rights to the 3.0 version to show it in both languages, but just not the 3.33 version.

Since it's playing two days (Mon 1/13 and Wed 1/15) for me I'll have to check more carefully. Possibly one showing is dub and one sub.

Hey, I know it's early but when do we find out if the packaging will be special?

The first two initial releases had them but those who ordered lately is getting standard casing correct?

Thanks!

I cannot wait. So far, I'm liking Rebuild of Evangelion far better than the original series.

Looks like a slipcase, which makes it a third time the Eva movies had a different packaging. :P

Depending on the license agreement....Funi may not have a say in packaging and have to put out an exact replica for most of that picture....

Should have used a black case if they were gonna be "special", and dropped the black bar from the top of the sleeve -- just make the blu-ray logo in black on the same blue background as the title.

Those looking for a decent price on this, Sears.com has it for $18.89.

Link: http://entertainment.sears.com/evang...o/704400098888

If you are a "Shop your way" rewards member, they sometimes send you free points. For example, I was sent $5 in free points last month and used that towards ordering this. Total came out to $13.72 (minus another 17 cents I had sitting in my S-Y-W account). Shipping was $0.99. Total with CA tax came out to $15.94. Used Paypal to pay for it as well.
