Default RFOM: Online Tips?

I looked and couldn't find any similar threads. So this is for online noobies like me. Contribute!

I've played only ranked games - objective so far. Here's a few questions:

1) Does your connection speed affect how you fare in the online game? As in if your internet is slow, then your speed of movement is also slow. I find that some people just move really really fast.

2) How can you get killed so fast with so few bullet hits? Frustrating.

3) How do you improve your aim? Is there an auto setting that people use? Again, frustrating.

4) Who have clans in RFOM that accepts newbies?

Okay, that's all for now.

I'm guessing that you don't realise you can run in the game yet .

Yes, connection speed is everything. If you would like to have an advantage, depending on who else is playing with you and the connection they are at, then host the games. That way your local machine is hosting the game and there is no lag.

If you hold down L2 you can run.

It matters where you aim and what gun is used. Somone aiming at your head is gonna kill you fast. If you aim at their chest you wont kill them as fast.

No auto-setting, just practice. You have to understand most of those people were playing this game since launch.

4) Who have clans in RFOM that accepts newbies? :p
I actually have a question about this. What is the point of Clans? I have had the game for over 6 months and enjoy playing online with my friends. I see people in clans but it never seems to make a difference. It isnt like guilds in warcraft, where if your in a PUG vs. a guild you will lose no matter what. So what is the point of Clans?

Actually if you hold it down you will crouch. If you tap it you will sprint.

Here's an extra one for you. If you get hit with the flamethrower or tracer round, just shake the controller to get it off of you.

1. It's all about the headshots

2. Balance; For example, I have almost 1,000 kills with every weapon, I'm not just good at one.

3. Do FFA & TDM until you get more experienced.

4. Communication in TDM, get a mic, it helped me a lot.

5. This is by far the most important part of the game: teabaging
When you kill someone, squat on their head an melee a few times.

6. Play with me, i'll teach you lots of stuff.

There is an aim-assist feature in the multiplayer settings isn't there? I seem to remember that although it's been a while now.

people always tell me my mic sounds staticy and that I lag... I have no idea what to look for in a new router, my old one worked perfectly but sadly, it died.

I play decently... oh and make sure to crouch man, they won't pick you up on the radar, I usually run away and hide so my health gets back to normal, then I rush them, hahaha

Once in a while, somebody will say on the headset before or during the first few minutes of an online game, "Okay go Tango everybody!" or something to that effect. The key word here is Tango. What's that all about?

Annoying things about online play: people who prolong the Flag game unnecessarily and people who quit on your team during the game. The last one is very frustrating especially during a flag game.

Did you practice this as well? Or did it just come naturally?
