it's Pete Walker's best film imo.....and yes, very dark, extremely creepy and disturbing. The ending is unforgettable....

I was eagerly anticipating a Pete Walker collection vol 2. Hope this release doesn't preclude that - they're usually a lot cheaper than the individual release prices.

Could be they didn't have another 2 films ready to release a vol. 2 box set. Maybe they will release one when more films are ready.

Pete Walker's best, mainly thanks to Sheila Keith's deeply disturbing performance. She is a bit of an under appreciated horror icon. The film has pacing issues and is a little sluggish at times, but I'll probably get this.

This and House of Whipcord are my favorites from Pete Walker. They both took me by surprise when I first watched them. Being more used to the Hammer style of British horror, I certainly did not expect the direction these took.

I watched the first half hour last night, it looks very good - especially next to the old Shriek Show dvd.

Yeah I was impressed with how it looks compared to what was available in the past.
I hope Redemption release House of Mortal Sin next, which is my favourite Walker film besides Frightmare.

I don't know much about Pete Walker but I blind bought THE FLESH AND BLOOD SHOW and just finished watching it. I thoroughly enjoyed it - the atmosphere was incredible. Didn't quite understand the ending but I have to see the film again so I'm sure I'll figure it out. I'm definitely going to check out Walker's other films.

Just noticed the cover art for this. Does Redemption spine number their releases ala Criterion? I could have sworn I was told they didn't a year or so ago when I asked?
