Halloween (1978) - of course.
A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. - Tremendously underrated, best of the franchise.
Halloween III: Season of the Witch - underrated film
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - best F13 film, everything a slasher should be
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child - good one
Jason Lives: Friday the 13th VI - amazing film
New Nightmare - clever film, I like it
Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - vastly underrated, fun film, that I quote in my signature here!
Jason X - it's Jason in space! It's great! And I really don't like JGTH
Halloween (2007) - great remake, one of the best of all horror remakes, yeah it departs a lot, but it's clearly comfortable being it's own thing.
Halloween II(2009) - this one was tough, but I'm going with Zombieween 2 because it's awesome and batshit crazy, and also underrated

OK I'll give it a shot;

A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984) is my favorite slasher film
Halloween II(1981) my favorite Halloween film
Friday the 13th Part III This is the most fun out of the options and Halloween III is a close second
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4:The Dream Mastermy favorite sequel of the ANOES series
A Nightmare on Elm Street 5:The Dream Child way better then Halloween 5 & Friday 5
Jason Lives:Friday the 13th Part VI my favorite of the Friday films
Halloween H20 very good and well made with new Nightmare being in the second place
Halloween Ressurection I love this film and thinks vastly underrated instead of the mediocre Friday 8
Jason X is fun and more enjoyable then the mediocre Jason goes to Hell
Friday the 13th(2009) is the best made out of all the remakes
Freddy Vs Jason is fun any Rob Zombie Halloween film can eat a dick

Halloween (1978) - The king of the slasher genre. Legendary and scary as ****

Friday the 13th Part 2 - The scariest.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch - Amazing atmosphere and one of the best films about this particular holiday.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 4 The Dream Master - It has Alice. Perfect mix of horror and comedy. Birth of MTV Freddy

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning - Not as bad as the later installments imo. Tina's tits

Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI - Gothic horror at lake side. Alice Cooper's music.

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later - The best sequel in the series imo. Love the cast and the ending.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - It does not have Busta Rhymes in it!

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday - It tried something new that I rather enjoyed. Jason's design, Duke, cameo of the Necronomicon.

Halloween (2007) - I like all Rob Zombie films and this is one of the few remakes I like.

Halloween II (2009) - I love this film! Simple as that.

Halloween - A masterpiece and one of my favourite horror films.

Friday the 13th Part 2 - Another favourite and one of the best shot slashers.

Halloween 2 is great as well but just doesn't compare to Friday 2.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch - Another favourite. I appreciate that they tried something different here and you can't mess with the 'stache. Plus is has one of the best horror scores of all time including that catchy Silver Shramrock jingle.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - One of the best Friday and slasher films. Got to love Chris Glover's dance moves.

Halloween 5:The Revenge of Michael Myers - Tough one over A New Blood, but in the end this is just a little more fun. They both have lots of issues though, with Tommy's mute acting the biggest hurdle.

Jason Lives: Friday the 13th VI - One of the best Friday films and one of the most fun slashers.

Halloween H20 - This was a tough choice over New Nightmare, but unfortunately New Nightmare falls apart in the last third or so.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - Not a great movie but at least it doesn't star a rapper, and kill off Curtis.

Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday - They both stink. This at least has a decent opening and some good gore effects.

Friday the 13th (2009) - I actually don't mind this remake. It's definitely better than the crap Zombie gave us, and although I don't hate the Nightmare remake, it is too similar to the original film just with worse CGI effects.

Freddy Vs. Jason - Both option aren't very good, but this is the lesser evil.

Halloween - The slasher that started it all... in my opinion.

Friday the 13th Part 2 - Introduction to Jason, need I say more?

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - Perhaps my favorite Nightmare film. Has the best balance of humor and horror.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - Easily the best Friday the 13th film.

Friday the 13th: A New Beginning - Under-****ing-rated movie. Sleazy and fun.

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives - Fun for all the right reasons.

New Nightmare - This one is tough. I enjoy the movie, but at the same time, I feel that Wes Craven solely made this to return Freddy to his dark side, yet there are still those typical silly Freddy moments throughout the film.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - Dumb movie. Poorly written and poorly directed. Still better than Halloween Resurrection though.

Jason X - Again, dumb movie. Slightly better than the alternative.

Rob Zombie's Halloween - Of all those remakes, I feel like Rob Zombie really made Halloween his own. It's not very good, but I respect the fact that he tried to create his own thing instead of doing a copy and paste of the original... unlike the remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street.

Freddy vs. Jason - This movie is the one that truly introduced me to slashers. I'm well aware that it's not a fine piece of cinema, but it still has a special place in my heart. Pure guilty pleasure.

HALLOWEEN (1978) outstanding in every way...

HALLOWEEN II my 2nd favorite sequel of the series

HALLOWEEN 3 what can I say.... it's a neat movie and something different... I enjoyed it more than the Part 3's of the others...though DREAM WARRIORS is a very close 2nd place

NOES 4 my favorite Elm Street sequel....Halloween 4 very close at 2nd place

FT13TH Part 5 not a fan favorite but I enjoyed this one a lot and the part 5's of the other series were weak....

JASON LIVES another fun sequel and better than the competition

HALLOWEEN H20 my favorite Halloween sequel and one of the best sequels of anything-- a perfect ending of a series that should have stopped right there!!

JASON X Jason vs Jason? well what we have here is a highly entertaining and very fun flick vs the ugliest and worst sequel of the series

FT13TH (2009)-- I don't get the hate... this ramke delivered everything that I would have expected which is more than I can say for the other 2 awful remakes....

FREDDY VS JASON great fun!! Zombie's Halloween follow-up...uhhhh no.

oops... forgot one-- JASON TAKES MANHATTEN over Halloween Resurrection--- a pretty weak Friday sequel but it's up against an abomination...

Halloween - Greatest slasher film of all time imo.
Friday Part 2 - really great sequel, better than most
Halloween III - Very original with extremely creepy atmosphere and awesome score
Halloween 4/Friday Final Chapter - it's a tie...2 of my favorites from each series
Halloween 5 - Much better story than other 2 choices imo
Halloween 6 - VERY underrated and creepy as hell
Halloween H20 - no competition on this one
Jason Takes Manhattan- best of the worst in this category
Jason Goes To Hell - For the tent scene
Nightmare 2010 - Really enjoyed this one
Halloween II - Brutal and unapologetic; FvJ was ridiculous

Halloween(1978) Vs. Friday the 13th(1980) Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984): I'm going with Nightmare. It's overall the better film to. The best rewatchability factor, better story, above all the creepiest of the 3. One of my top favorite horror films ever.

Halloween II(1981) Vs. Friday the 13th Part 2 Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street 2:Freddy's Revenge: Halloween 2, don't remember too much about any of these but I liked Halloween the best no doubt.

Halloween III:Season of the Witch Vs. Friday the 13th Part 3 Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street 3ream Warriors: while I haven't seen SOTW I still gotta go with Dream Warriors, the great Freddy movie after the original. Great story, awesome concept.

Halloween 4:The Return of the Michael Myers Vs. Friday the 13th:The Final Chapter Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street 4ream Master: Friday The 13th, this was a great film in an awful franchise. My favorite Jason movie (love the character though) it's the only one that I'd give props too.

Halloween 5:The Revenge of Michael Myers Vs. Friday the 13th:A New Beginning Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street 5ream Child: I'd go with Halloween 5, I liked how this film came together with the little girl, great movie to me.

Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers Vs. Jason Lives:Friday the 13th VI Vs. Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare: Final Nightmare. I like how they go into Freddie's origins a little here. Decent horror flick, plus I loved the random cameo from Johnny Depp.

Halloween H20 Vs. Friday the 13th Part VII:The New Blood Vs. New Nightmare: toss up between H2O and New nightmare. I liked both.

Halloween Ressurection Vs. Friday the 13th Part VIII:Jason Takes Manhattan: Halloween Resurrection by default, Friday 8 was weak to me. Just a stupid movie.

Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday Vs Jason X: Jason Goes To Hell, I liked the concept but it still was pretty bad.

Halloween(2007) Vs. Friday the 13th(2009) Vs. A Nightmare on Elm Street(2010). Rob Zombie's Halloween wins. I don't understand the hate for it, it was definitely the best of the remakes and I'd say a damn good horror flick.

Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Halloween II(2009): Halloween 2, again I don't understand the hate. I really like the tone of the movie. It felt so damn evil.

Halloween(1978) - The toughest one to pick. I love all three. This one though is near perfect.

Friday the 13th Part 2 - One of my fav Friday the 13th, and the first movie with Jason.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Warriors - The best of all Nightmare movies after the first one.

A Nightmare on Elm Street Dream Master - I still cry when the brother dies.

Friday the 13th:A New Beginning - Surprisingly entertaining

Freddy's Dead:The Final Nightmare - All 3 aren't very good.

New Nightmare - The best Halloween in a while however New Nightmare original premise puts it on top.

Halloween Resurrection - Both terrible.

Jason Goes to Hell:The Final Friday - Both terrible again

Friday the 13th(2009) - Best choice of mediocrity

Freddy Vs. Jason - Enjoyed it.

I honestly think that the entire FT13 franchise is terrible and overrated.

I do like the original Halloween and A Nightmare On Elm Street films, but I could really care less about the sequels.

Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street (tie) - It's very hard to choose here. Do I give it to Halloween for pioneering the slasher genre while also being a classic in it's own right, or do I praise NOES for it's originality and debuting one of my favorite villains in filmdom?
Halloween II - One of the few great "first sequels" in horror, and it's really where the Myers saga should've ended at.
Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors - The series at it's apex. As much as I love Season of the Witch, it can't compare.
Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter - One of the better Friday sequels.
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers - I'm not a fan of any of these three, but Revenge is the least of evils
Friday the 13th VI: Jason Lives - My favorite Friday film by far.
Wes Craven's New Nightmare - Straight up awesome, and one of my favorite Wes Craven films.
Friday the 13th VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan - It's stupidly goofy, but I still like it.
Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday - Loved the darker nature in this one, and it's a better "finale" than Freddy's Dead
Friday the 13th (2009) - I'll give credit to Zombie for attempting to give Michael Myers a backstory, and the NOES remake for Jackie Earl Haley's Freddy, but the Friday remake is by far my favorite
Freddy vs. Jason - No contest, though I do have my issues with both films.

A Nightmare on Elm Street(1984) - Halloween is awesome, but Nightmare on Elm Street is awesome-er. The practical effects in this movie are amazing, much more impressive to me than Savini's infamous "arrow through the neck" gag from F13. I never cared for the original F13, honestly. The very concept of Freddy Krueger is so much more intriguing to me than either Jason or Michael Myers, and they play him completely straight in this movie. Also young Johnny Depp, way before he got really annoying. Win, win, win.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2:Freddy's Revenge - A tough call, as I think all 3 are excellent sequels. Friday the 13th 2 is miles beyond the original, and Halloween 2 is like a non-stop thriller from start to finish... isn't it also the one with the doctor watching that goofy exercise tape? And that hot tub death! But for me, NoES 2 is such great fun, more memorable, and is unfairly hated amongst fans. I love watching Jesse panic as he slowly transforms into Freddy, and the party scene near the end is a blast! So neat how he moves into Nancy's house and discovers all that info about her. The high school drama is actually interesting in this film.

Nightmare on Elm Street 3: The Dream Warriors - Once again, Halloween III: Season of the Witch almost won this. It's actually my favorite Halloween film overall, which most people just won't understand. The masks, the Silver Shamrock song, Tom Atkins, the colors... it's just a classic to me.

With that said, Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is once again even better to me. The plot is solid, and the added details to Freddy's origin
[Show spoiler], how he was birthed through the brutal nun-raping,
and make him an even more interesting character in my eyes. I love that Nancy comes back to help the kids, and the death of Joey is horrifying every time I watch it. This also features classic lines like "Welcome to prime-time *****!", and "I am the Wizard Master!" I love how the kids actually fight back through their dreams in this one, and would take this film over Inception any day. Seriously, Dream Warriors poops on that movie. A more than substantial ending to the originally planned trilogy.

Friday the 13th:The Final Chapter - My second-favorite in the Friday the 13th series, and the first time I didn't select a Nightmare on Elm Street film in this poll. Love watching Tommy make those masks, Crispin Glover's dancing, and the twist at the end. Halloween 4 may be really good, but it isn't this good.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 5:The Dream Child - I haven't watched this in forever, but I remember loving it. Something about the idea of Freddy trying to be born again as a baby is so compelling to me. Very similar to the reasons why I adore NoES 2 so much. I remember the dream sequences being great in this one, and the set designs being particularly killer.

Halloween:The Curse of Michael Myers - I remember not hating this as much as everyone else does. I don't remember much at all, but I'm pretty sure it was awesome. F13 VI was awesome too, especially that opening, but I remember liking this more. I'm not sure why.I haven't watched these later entries in quite a while. NoES 6 was terrible, I'm pretty sure, doesn't Roseanne and Tom Arnold have an awkward cameo in it? That was actually the best part of that movie - or the 3-D at the end.

Friday the 13th Part VII:The New Blood - This movie is so cool, and by far my favorite in the series. Tina and her telekinetic powers are such a great opponent for Jason. I love watching the family drama between her, her mom, and her psychiatrist. Also think the partying teens next door are well casted, and enjoy the rugged outdoors-man who comes to Tina's aid. New Nightmare, and H20 are also great slashers - especially New Nightmare. But F13VII is a masterpiece.

Friday the 13th Part VIII:Jason Takes Manhattan - This should've been called Jason Takes A Boat-ride to Manhattan. Not a good film, but Halloween Resurrection is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, which is a shame because H20 was so fresh, and enjoyable.

Jason X I really enjoy this movie. The kills are fun, especially the frozen smash. I think they handled the sci-fi elements nicely - way better than Leprechaun in Space, at least. That dream sequence too was fun, with the sleeping bags, and Jason's X-upgrade looks really cool.

Friday the 13th(2009) - My least hated of the remakes. Still not a very good movie.

Freddy Vs. Jason - The plot is silly, and doesn't really fit in with the rest of the NoES franchise, but the cast does a fine job. Katherine Isabelle, that chick from Undeclared, and Kelly Rowland stand out. I like watching Freddy and Jason fight. I like this movie, and I don't care who knows it. I wish there were a sequel still. To be honest, I never bothered with Zombie's H2, a friend of mine did tell me it was much better his first though.
