Paramount Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 6 (1992-1993) / Chain of Command (1992)

Star Trek: The Next Generation, Season 6 Blu-ray

Star Trek: The Next Generation - Chain of Command Blu-ray

Well, our journey is nearly at an end.
I'm really going to miss the crew again!
I have decided to wait until this season is released to watch Star Trek in StarDate order.
That way by the time Season 7 is released, ... O_O

My source said the next season of Star Trek was coming in April...
I assumed it to be The Next Generation because I didn't think that Enterprise 4 would be piggy-backing Enterprise 3 so soon...

Your source appears to have just looked it up on the internet.. Would have thought you would have asked which series they meant? Probably would have been a good idea to ask them. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HETWFVC/

Yeah, very unlikely that TNG S6 will also come out in April. CBS doesn't release two different Trek series in the same month. Here's how TNG and ENT have alternated:

ENT S1: March 26, 2013
TNG S3: April 30, 2013
TNG S4: July 30, 2013
ENT S2: August 20, 2013
TNG S5: November 19, 2013
ENT S3: January 7, 2014
ENT S4: April 1, 2014

so...

TNG S6: May or June, 2014
TNG S7: October or November, 2014

Not the same month, but 21 days apart. April 1st for ENT S4 and April 22nd for TNG S6 would also be 21 days apart...

Ah, but Enterprise is ready to rumble, so to speak, in terms of having HD masters available. It probably took CBS longer to put together the special features for Enterprise than to master the extant HD episodes onto disc.

Granted, but I think ENT S2 coming out so close on the heels of TNG S4 was just a fluke due to the nearly five month gap between ENT S1 & 2 and TNG S4's VFX being completed by Modern VideoFilm, not CBS Digital.

As for the work currently being done on TNG S6, according to Robert Meyer Burnett, CBS Digital completed "Tapestry" on or around January 6th. There are 11 episodes left in S6 and they complete about an episode per week on average... so that would give us an estimated completion date of March 24th. But that's only if there are no unexpected hiccups. Two episodes that are going to probably take longer to complete are "Birthright, Part I" (possibly already completed) and "Timescape." They have to look through all the DS9 S1 material and find each motion control pass needed to complete the original VFX for those episodes.

I just think an extra month isn't going to be enough time to complete the VFX, do all the color correction, 7.1 sound mixing, VAM, blu-ray authoring, packaging, disc replication, etc. If TrekCore says June-ish, you can pretty much take that to the bank.

I'm looking forward to Season 6 and the troublesome Timescape.

Since they didn't for Time's Arrow, I am assuming there won't be a seperate release for Decent. Too bad - I have a soft place for Part 1 as it aired the same night as my grad and Part 2 was the first TNG I saw living on my own. I even left my grad party early to come home and watch Decent - no, I wasn't that much of a geek, it was just a really lame party.
