Confirmation from a best buy employee who works on the ads

I don't know if Disney has done one before or not, but they're doing one for Thor 2.

The only reason I know for sure is because I work on the BBY Sunday insert.

since Best buy only works on ads 4 weeks in advance so maybe in 2-3 week they can confirm 100%

With about a month until street date, we should be getting some definitive info quite soon:
Will this have 3D?
Will it have a title on the spine?
Is it a steelbook, or metalpak?
Has Disney and Scanavo finally kissed and made up?

There has been in-hand pics used for confirmation, or does confirmation come from the mock-up floating around?

Must be from different sites. I've seen the post you quoted in the OP, and I've seen the one "source" over the FS thread. Unless I missed some other thread on this site, that's it.
Again, I'm hoping for the best, but preparing for another over anxious "mock-up" parade. That's why I'd be much happier with an in-hand pic, which would sell me.
In any event, as I said, we've got about 5 weeks to go. I figure in 2-3 weeks, in-hand pics will start to surface, if not sooner.

different sources from different sites didn't wanna quote them all, but i do agree if this begins an onslaught of Disney Steels for the US and Disney realizes they sell like gangbusters,I can see ton's of titles being released much like what Zavvi is doing right now.

This could be huge, if true, no doubt about it. A real game changer, of sort, as you mentioned it would could really tear into Zavvi's Disney sales, that's for sure!
Then if BB were to sign another deal with Disney...wow, it's going to bring quite a bit of traffic their way.
