Italy House On The Edge Of The Park (Ruggero Deodato) - Cinekult

Just released a couple of weeks ago but I've seen conflicting listings as to whether this has English audio.

Amazon says Italian and Spanish

http://www.amazon.it/La-Casa-Sperduta-Nel-Parco/dp/B00H9O8QFQ/ref=pd_sim_dvd_1

Kultvideo says Italian and English and has a pic of the actual item..

http://www.kultvideo.com/DVD/DVD.asp...o?__lang=it-IT

Anyone have this yet and can confirm as well as any general opinions?

The distributor's web site seems to support Kultvideo:

Nice find

I'll be putting an order in with Amazon.it soon so I'll be adding this to my order. Thanks for the heads up, just sold my DVD of this for more than the asking price of the BD.

I was looking for a Cecchi Gori or Cinekult site as well.

All I was able to find was scraps of info and most about the DVD which is supposed to look good so I have decent hopes of the BD. I sold my Shriek Show DVD a little while ago as well for a good price.

Anyone managed to take a peek at this yet?

Just about to place an order, Read on another forum (via translate) that the PQ was quite good but the audio wasn't mentioned.

Mine arrived today
it is Region B locked..

I will watch and full review this weekend.

but quick check and pic quality is very good. English is lossy, italian audio is lossless. English subs are there.
Bonus interview with Deodato but the subs did not seem to work in that.

Cheers! Excellent stuff. Hopefully I'll be getting together an Amazon.it order this month.

Doesn't appear to be any option to access the Eng audio on my disc, tried everything. Only options are Italian 2.0 DD & 2.0 DTS-HD MA!

English sub's are there but no audio.

Have you tried everything?

Press the 'audio' selector on your remote to cycle through the options?

Ripped using something like MakeMKV to see which audio tracks are included?

You probably have, just a thought.

Tried everything on the disc Steve, not tried MakeMKV though!

Even found a review that states it has the English track

So has anyone figured out for definite if this has no English audio? As it's a no go if not.

I'm astounded that there's so many contradictions. And if it is a mistake on the box, then it seems the reviewers have been caught out not doing their jobs properly as they clearly haven't listened to it or properly examined the menus.

And to think I almost sold my DVD on the strength of earlier info..

(EDIT: Looked around and indeed others confirm the lack of English audio.. damn)

There's no way to access any Eng audio via the menu or once the film has started. I've messaged CG via Twitter & FB about the issue and had no reply. Apparently the same issue was on their release of Cannibal Holocaust too, advertised Eng audio only to provide Eng subs. Very poor!

Sold my Shriek Show DVD too, gutted!

To be honest the transfer is no great shakes anyway, the 'machine noise' is horrific!

Thanks for the report, Dickie. What a shame to hear the picture isn't up to much either.

As you say, it does indeed seem they've done the same with Cannibal Holocaust (advertised English audio, only for it to have subs only) - it doesn't fill you with confidence for future releases from them does it? Very poor show.

I didnt bother to double check the English! doh!!!!!!!!

I do like the Italian Language at least so its not a tragedy. But thats REALLY bad form to have it on the box even! its not like we made a mistake. they just mis-represented

Hmm, yes. I had listed my DVD for sale and was moments away from forking out for the blu based on your post confirming the English soundtrack.

Still, mistakes happen. And they shouldn't have posted the wrong info on the sleeve. But it goes to show, always always properly check the disc and don't take the specs for granted...
