Game of Thrones Season 3: 4 REDEMPTIONS?

So this is the redemption page for Game of Thrones: Season 3. I already redeemed the VUDU but none of the others. So if I select VUDU and enter the code, it'll say already redeemed.

But can anyone verify that GOT Season 3 offers up FOUR redemptions now? Or is Google Play and either/or with iTunes?

This is the 1st code I've gotten that has Google Play as an option.

My set says 3 ways to watch but apparently it's 6 ways to watch counting the Blu, DVD, and 4 Digital copies... sheesh....

As for your question... I don't know... with S3 I went to Vudu, then iTunes, then Flixster.... I don't know a thing about google play and shouldn't amazon instant be an option....

Stupid Digital copies... it's too late to just make them go away.

I love digital copies. As for Google/Amazon, I don't recall Amazon being an option last year or the year before. It was always 3 redemptions. Vudu/Flixster/iTunes..

Guess it's four now. I had it up for trade/sale somewhere else and someone asked me about it, and I had to admit I wasn't sure with the google play thrown in the mix.

It's ridiculous that they are using the word Ultraviolet in their description. Ultraviolet means universal......you can't say Ultraviolet, but only in one place and not another, ridiculous and needs pulled from Ultraviolet till they get it right.

I personally think all the "retailers" cutting deals with studios for exclusive UV restrictions put a big damper on the whole concept.

When I first started redeeming UV, I had to go to 8 or so different studios. These days I can mostly just redeem from Vudu which is my choice of retailer however, it's not without snags like the one shown here.

UVVU com should be a use-able website and all things similar to UV should be accessible there and finally, there should be apps for UV that don't need a "retailer" front end like Vudu but that would be how it would be if someone had done the thinking upfront.

It's supposed to be easy ... but it's all messed up.

I don't think it's messed up at all. I use Vudu alot so if I redeem it there it will be there, but it won't show up on any of my sub accounts and if Vudu discontinues, I can't just go to Target ticket or M-Go or wherever to view it.....its gone. The only thing messed up is that they are using the word Ultraviolet with this title.

It's really a flixster copy that's not UV comparable... but a lot of people get tricked...

Thankfully you and I know you can also redeem via Vudu...

I wouldn't use the HBOSelect website at all.

But then,... you don't think that it's messed up that the best way to go is not to follow the directions.

I don't have this title but, if I did I think I would redeem the UV flixster since that's the only place It is UV enabled as I understand it. That way you have the permanent UV rights to it and when they get it fixed it will show up in Vudu, and everywhere else........except itunes.

I redeemed 3 copies directly through the options (VUDU, Flixster and iTunes). I don't have a google play account but was told there isn't a way to redeem directly through Google via a code. If there is, it stands to reason it would work as well

Did it show up in your UV account?

if you go to play.google.com there is a redeem icon, on the left, if you click on it, it gives you a box to redeem a code
not sure if it work but it's the best suggestion

I'll officially sell my google play portion for a nickel if it still works after I do vudu, iTunes and fucster... I think 3 versions of low quality streaming will be enough for me.

Google play code is now sold.... Or given away rather,... If it works.

If it does work then there's at least 4 DC copies possible with the Blu, dvd kit... you get 6 copies... wow...

I gave my code after redeeming the heck out of it... it didn't work on google play...

Wonder if going to HBOSelect with it would work... Well,... From what I hear, It didn't work.

Hopefully the guy I PM-ed it too can contact google play and get them to cough up a working code..

HDX may be the BEST streaming aside from the 4K sony puck thingie.

But I watched some HDX for a while... (I converted movies I had on DVD that I didn't think would show up on Blu Ray soon)... after several days of such, I happened to watch a Blu Ray and

HDX is fine for what it is I guess but it's far from Blu.

It may be the best streaming but streaming in general .. kind of stinks.

And, in particular Game of Thrones ... You need to watch the blus of this show... it's AMAZING...!!!


Edit - if you're watching on a 42 inch display or lower... then ignore this stuff... Streaming may look great on small screens. I have a 42 inch plasma but I don't watch it much, I tend to watch with my projector.

I tried too and got the same results. Technically, you are only supposed to get UV (flixster) and either Vudu -or- iTunes (not both). The fact that it's been over a year (maybe 2...? I don't remember) and they still haven't fixed the "issue" of getting both has been nice, so I don't feel too bad about not having Google play too.

from what i gather and know originally season 1 was UV but they were having transfer issues with the title so in response HBO launched HBO GO SELECT and reissued new versions and codes for their top series. Game of thrones season 1 lost the UV icon but is in in my flixster account - still shows up and i did not redeem it there so thats a plus

HBO knows it can be redeemed a few times hence the promo "MORE WAYS TO WATCH" but as it stands it goes vudu, itunes or goggle, and flixster

HBO shows are not UV enabled plain and simple - flixster, vudu, and cinema now can lose rights to UV titles hence no one has permanent UV rights; however, on the flip side if vudu were to lose UV rights to a film the film would still show on your vudu account.

I am about to redeem my codes for S2 and S3 and I don't know which service to pick. I use Apple products, should I just redeem them in iTunes? I also have a Chromecast though...and with Google Play it's on more platforms...idk what to do.
