Isn't it the same username and pass for all amazon websites ? at least when I bought from amazon UK, DE and FR I used the same info I had on amazon US to log in.

While the Amz.jp account is different you should be able to sign in quickly using your US info. That is what I did as there are a few titles I'm going to order.

There are a lot of translator add ons for chrome and firefox. Why someone would not use one of them is beyond me?

Start here. From this link, most of the site should change to English.

From this English homepage, highlight the "Hello/Sign in Your Account" button, and right underneath, it will say "New customer? Start here", click the hyperlink, and the account creation page should be in English.

I'm not sure which of the two editions would be better to get. The Deluxe one looks amazing but I can't tell if it's Blu-ray sized packaging and it likely wouldn't match the rest at all. But it has all the extras and it should have the best presentation in 2.35:1 and the IMAX ratio.

The US release was a mixed bag. The 2.35:1 scenes were MUCH softer than The Hunger Games. The IMAX footage looked very impressive and it was mostly not as noticeable that they were doing so much more compression. So it was still a good but imperfect transfer.

If I got the standard JP edition it would look really nice and I would get the 2.35:1 presentation in top quality PQ/AQ and uniform/cool packaging and a lower price. If I get the deluxe set, I get the best of everything, except it's doubtful it's uniform, and it costs more.
