What is most luxurious? According to cnet.com a xbox 360 elite is more of a luxury gift than a ps3.

If you look at the rankings it gives the XBOX 360 Elite a 8.5 rating and the
PS3 60 gig an 8.8!

elite doesn't have wifi or an hd player, that easily trumps the extra 80 GB. remember too that the elite only has HDMI 1.2 whe the ps3 has 1.3. Elite would have better bc. its pretty close, we are talking about the 40GB PS3, because the 80GB or 60GB destroy the elite in terms of quality.

sorry to add this here but speaking of gifts.. in my composition class today on the other side of the room i overheard 3 classmates discussing how their bf's wanted wii's or 360's for xmas. then overheard them say that "there are no games on there i would wanna play.. 360 is all shooting types" so i ran over.. and talked to em...

should be 3 ps3's wrapped up for xmas pretty soon lol. weeeee

considering how even the lower 360s are getting HDMI the Elite only has its giant harddrive going for it.

Negatives: no wifi, no built in HD movie player, incredibly poor reliability

PS3 wins by a longshot.
