Default Stick Of Truth or Beyond:Two Souls?

I don't know which to get. I'm a huge South Park game and I'm excited at the possibility of exploring South Park, interacting with its characters and having a good time with the story & humor. But I'm not a big fan of turn-based combat.

I love Heavy Rain and Last Of Us but I don't know if Two Souls is worth it. Which would you go with?

Does the combat in South Park get repetitive later?

I can only speak for the South Park side as I have not had a go at Beyond yet (don't think I will either it just looks boring). For me The Stick of Truth was the best $60 I have ever spent on a game. The combat is actually really well done and not what you would expect from a turn based system (huge Final Fantasy and general RPG fan here). It doesn't get repetitive in combat until you get some better weapons and figure out a strategy that will take out most enemies easily. The thing is if your a huge South Park fan it's definitely the game you will want to get as it's basically like watching a 13 hour episode of the show. The humor, references, and characters that we've all come know and love are all here in the game.

I usually can't stand turn-based RPGs, I find them tedious and boring. I'm definitely more into the "run in and mess things up" kind of games. That said, I had an absolute blast with South Park. I capped the levels and beat the crap out of the game and loved every minute of it. I even went back and made a new character.

As a fan of South Park, you'll love it. I've never laughed so much while playing a game.

That settles it, I'm ordering South Park . I liked the combat in KOTOR though. I'll buy the rest later.

Btw, how do you feel about Heavy Rain?

How much of the town can you explore? And if you choose to go with Kyle's elves, do you still get to interact with Cartman on a fairly regular basis?

I enjoyed Heavy Rain enough for one playthrough but I definitely wouldn't play it again. It's not that it was bad its just something that doesn't need to be experienced more then once.

The entire town is open to explore except for a few houses and 1 or two missing places and you can't get in the mall. You will interact with Cartman through the entire game no matter what you choose.

I haven't played either one of them yet, but I'm going to go with The Stick of Truth.

Why not pick up Beyond Two Souls know as it can be hard more affordably and then in another month or so you will no doubt be able to get South Park at a similar discount and have both for the same price as just South Park is now.

If you must get one or the other, then I would highly recommend Beyond Two Souls. It was my goty with TLOU last year.

Stick of Truth sounds like a love it or hate it game. Beyond is a love it or hate it, as well. Personally thought Heavy Rain was more satisfying, but did not thing either was fun.

Gameplay in Beyond is not fun. I don't think it means to fulfill the need to play a videogame. Knowing nothing about it, I would guess that based on the subject matter and the fact that it is an actual game, Stick of Truth will yield a more purely fun experience, unless of course you can't stand South Park.

Heavy Rain I thought was just OK but I'm loving Beyond. You can get it cheap too. South Park I will play on the weekend, but sounds awesome. I mainly got up front as I got the Wizards Edition. If I wasn't, I'd have just waited gotten the regular when it reduced.

I used to watch South Park. When Barbara Streisand, Robert Smith, the aborted fetus attached to the head, the 5-assed baboons, and Chef's chocolate salty balls were on. That's a long, long time ago.

South Park The Stick of truth is amazing and one of the best games I have ever played. I highly recommend this out of the two mostly because it is just about perfect.

Beyond Two Souls is a pretty rad game however. If you have PS+ I wouldn't be surprised if you end up getting that one for free later this year.

Thanks for all the help guys .

I'm gonna go with South Park for now. I'm no longer that excited about Two Souls for the main reason that your choices don't really affect the story as much as in Heavy Rain. I think after South Park, I'll go with Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes or Splinter Cell Blacklist.

I'm enjoying the game. It's like an old LucasArts adventure crossed with a turn based RPG. It's simple so far but fun.
