Oh I'm so stoked! I was thinking today how I wish this movie was on Blu-ray after watching Transformers The Movie yesterday and ruminating on Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way.

I love this movie except for the rape scene.

Of all the purchases I lucked out on, blind-buying this from DDD when it was around $10 is up there.

EDIT: I thought there'd be more enthusiasm for this... maybe it's just too early in the morning. I can't believe it. I was seriously driving to work thinking "I wonder if there will ever be a Savage Streets Blu-ray", thinking about all the great songs like Justice for One, Innocent Hearts and It's the Quiet Ones You Gotta Watch, come on here and BAM! there it is.

Not that I know of, there was a rumour a few years back about them releasing pieces on Blu-ray but nothing came of it.

Trust me, I thought I would jump and scream in joy when this got announced. Now that it has, I couldn't feel more "meh" about it. Think it has to do with knowing I have to keep the dvd anyway for the features and artwork (the promo pic has my least favorite painted poster), but I'm even considering skipping this release altogether. I'm sure I'll jump on it when it nears street date, but am shocking myself with how little I care right off. Quick, bring me coffee and drugs!

Skipping 1080p Savage Streets? LOSSLESS SAVAGE STREETS?

I mean I never even upgraded from the interlaced DVD, I'm so psyched.

Getting more into it, esp. because I first read this as "36DD in 1080p".

Yeah, not as hyped as I thought I would be, and might even wait for reviews. Only a really poor transfer can stop this upgrade, despite anything I said earlier.

As far as I'm aware, Arrow don't have the rights anymore. They didn't have them for that long as their DVD went OOP after a short time.

I think I'm gonna stick with the Scorpion DVD.
