Please tell me this will be included on the back-cover synopsis:

that crappy 3-d bullsh+t release received the wonderful review by Amazon reviewer's Alaric Rocha, Daniel Jolley, Ksmall who seems to support vhs dupe. thanks for wanting low quality garbage!

since the crappy 3-D sold 2,000+ copies, there is no customers left on this release on dvd. so limited Blu is the only place to go. Please support this release to prove the scummy bootlegger that miracle can happen to dead titles.
Now every time I see a homeless man, I'll wonder if he has rare 35mm masters hidden in his pockets alongside his Scope and crack pipe.

I popped in my copy of Mary, Mary, Bloody Mary again last night and, after watching the bonus feature with the producer again, I noticed it skips and then cuts to black, abruptly ending the interview towards the end.

It's not really too big of a deal (I've had this movie for a couple years and it's one of my favorite Code Red releases, spun about 5 or 6 times since I picked it up and I've noticed no other issues--and the malfunction is literally at the very end of the interview). I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this or not because I don't recall having that problem the last time I viewed the segment.

I don't remember any malfunction with the interview, but I can check again at some point.

This is a cool little movie. Here's my review from a couple of months back...

Cristina Ferrare, circa 1975, was unbelievably gorgeous, and the main draw of this movie is that we can look at her for 91 minutes.

Mary, played by Ferrare, is introduced to us as a seemingly frail woman in possible danger, but there's more to her than meets the eye. Mary is a vampire who roams the beautiful Mexican countryside as a talented painter, while claiming victims along the way. Mary is not a normal vampire like the rest of us, because daylight does not affect her, and because, instead of biting her victims, she kills them with blades before draining their blood. She's crafty, and she gets around by mingling with the art community and by encountering random people on beaches and such during her travels. Along the way, she develops a genuine love interest, played by David Young, who is one of those actors whom I swear that I've seen several times before, but am surprised to find that I recognize none of his other roles listed on the Internet Movie Database. Along with her boyfriend, Mary must evade local authorities, who are quite competent and devoted to finding the identity of the strange serial killer who leaves victims drained of blood. The story is given a wonderful old-school horror appeal by the addition of the great John Carradine, whose character has some nightmarish ties to Mary's past.

I quite liked this movie, although it's hardly the most excitingly paced Code Red title on the market. As with other Code Red titles of gloriously underrated horror films of this era and style, the picture quality includes some print damage, but is nonetheless a seemingly faithful representation of the source. I found nothing lacking in the video presentation that interfered with my enjoyment of the film. The sound quality matches the video quality in terms of being "quite good, albeit not demo quality." I'm pretty sure that anybody who buys this disc in the first place will not be disappointed, and I have no qualms about giving this Blu-ray a hearty thumbs-up.

The interview with producer Henri Bollinger is great, because he discusses several of the challenges inherent in getting this movie funded, but he is also quick to mention that horror movies, in general, make money, and that this one was no exception.

On a final note, the Internet Movie Database lists this film as being 101 minutes long, but the Code Red disc is 91 minutes. My guess, for what it's worth, is that the Internet Movie Database is in error with the film length. Please correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I picked up the VCI release of this combined with Blood Feast—anyone know how it stacks up to the Code Red disc?
