Hopefully they change the artwork, not a big fan of the UK theatrical poster.

Wow £22. Bargain.

Agree about the poster art, they all look a little 'added'.

Looks a good film though will preorder when hit £13 which it will

Yeah, it should drop to around that price closer to release. I liked the film a lot, it is different to Arnie's other films. You can get away with a lot now with a 15 certificate. If you liked The Last Stand and Escape Plan you should enjoy this. I am hoping there is a directors cut.

I like nearly all of Arnie's films but absolutely hated this one. Over-the-top violence with little to no reason for it. And I am a fan of gory films usually!

Interestingly enough, it seems Lionsgate are distributing alot of Universal titles here in the UK & Ireland (just like Homefront)

I do agree with some of the violence being unnecessary,
[Show spoiler]like when they kill the cyclist and kill half the people on the street during that one chase sequence. Also the plot seems to go back and forth and doesn't really know what direction it is going. I didn't like some of the jokes the cast members were saying, it seemed childish.
Arnie seemed to be on top form though, they need to release the true directors cut before it was cut to ribbons by the studio.

Arnold was indeed excellent.

Hated this film beyond belief. If the studio truly cut the film, then they have no reason being a production company in the first place since they must have no knowledge of how to make a bankable film.

They wanted a faster pace so they cut half of the film. Also not to mention the ending was reshot too.

I quite enjoyed this. I did think the violence was OTT, but it's nice to see that, once in a while. One thing that bothered me was casting Olivia Williams as an American cop (with a "twangy" accent) when she's so recognizable as British--it must have been slightly weird seeing her in this role in the UK.

And I'm not surprised to see this was recut, because it made no sense to
[Show spoiler]cast Terrence Howard in a role
that basically amounts to nothing until
[Show spoiler]the big reveal about who he is
. I was surprised
[Show spoiler]he would have accepted a role that was so small
.

I was really, really disappointed that this did not do well at the box office. It may not have been perfect, but it was a damn sight better than today's standard action fare.

Watched this yesterday, thought it was ok,could spot that the final bit was just added on to give the audience a sense of justification but would very much like to see the original version, maybe an edition with both cuts on the disc would be good.
As its Lionsgate though I would expect two versions released around six months apart

Its actually a Universal title, but Lionsgate own the UK rights.

Has this already come and gone in UK cinemas?

I haven't seen any adverts on TV for it or posters on buses etc yet a lot of people seem to have seen it?

I saw Last Stand (pretty decent) and Escape Plan (meh) at the cinema and like to show a bit of financial support for these type of films. Ayer has done some great work and Arnold is always good fun.

This seems to have a good ensemble cast too, hopefully I can see it before it comes out on Blu although I will most likely buy it to add to the action collection anyway.
