Like all the series of that time given the material of origin and how it was edited analogically you can't make a proper HD version of it. Making an excellent SD DVD is the best you can do and you can only do so much.

I'm sad that I missed the campaign. But it's great that they reach their goal. Now I will have to wait until the commercial release to buy it, but it certainly will be a day one for me.

Does someone who participated to this campaign (or not) knows the estimated release date for that project?

Can't wait to re-watch all the series in HD.

If you are in France, you can go buy the boxset at Japan Expo that runs from july 2nd till july 6th at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center; otherwise, you have to wait until November 2014 to get your boxset through a regular or online retailer.
