Arya, who is the most badass young girl to ever hit the screen. Maisie Williams is simply brilliant in the role. The moment where all she can do is to laugh when she gets terrible news of a deceased relative, because of all the awful things that have happened to her family, was probably my favourite moment of season 4.

Margaery is dead and didn't have much backbone so I disagree on her. Best villain is probably one of the Lannisters, Baelish is more of a schemer. Best overall character will always be the Queen of the First Men, to me at least. Sansa is still a shoddy character, she needs to prove worthy of House Stark this season, not just for a little while.

I voted Tyrion, he's the heart & soul of the series, but The Hound is also great, & Cersei is the most sexy, just so many great characters in this show.

Margaery is dead, so? Doesn't mean she wasn't the best suited to the Iron Throne. She's a great manipulator and survived wedding 2 kings on the opposite side of the war, and through manipulating Tommen, even got the upper hand against Cersei for a while, it just didn't last. She was also actually a nice person and would have been an intelligent, benevolent ruler.

As for one of the Lannisters being the best villains? I don't think so. Tywin was the smartest Lannister except maybe Tyrion (who is good), and he got killed by his son because he was so disgusted that his son was a freaking dwarf he just couldn't deal with it. Jaime is more of a morally grey character, Joffrey was a psychopath but he was a complete moron and a petulant baby, Cersei makes some of the stupidest decisions around (Eg. arming religious fanatics of whom her ex lover cousin is a part, and now she is queen but she's lost all her children and will have created chaos and caused all her allies to turn against the crown, right when Daenerys is coming).

Meanwhile, Baelish has been a massive background player, right from the start, possibly even as far back as Rhaegar and Lyanna and the Mad King, he manipulated Lyssa into killing her husband, opening up a marriage option for him as well as bringing Ned to King's Landing and kicking off all that was to follow, killing Joffrey, getting control of the vale, then using Sansa to ally with the North, which is now probably the strongest allegiance in Westeros, with the Lannisters practically alone. And he probably knows John's Targaeryan status, just wait to see how he uses that.

Sansa has shown a lot of growth in the last couple of seasons, and she was a naive little girl for the first few seasons, she is overly hated, though she's not the best character by any means.

Also Daenerys is a crappy Mary Sue and the most boring part of the show.
