I did a search and didn't find a thread for this movie if there is one please let me know as the search brought up nothing.

Son Of God tells the story of Jesus's last days on earth to his crucifixion to his rising from the dead. This is a powerful and inspiring film. This films is a extended version of passion episode of the miniseries the Bible that aired on the history channel last year. They added new never before seen scenes to make it a full length movie.

The movie is on DVD and blu ray and walmart has a exclusive 28 page digibook

Not every film has a forum thread, only those with a particularly interested fan base. From what I can see this thread just became the official thread for the movie (as there is no other official thread)... now whether anyone else comments is another topic entirely.

I know I'm not the target demographic for this, but it doesn't make sense to me that people would buy this when the full version of The Bible miniseries is available on Blu. Why not get the whole thing? It seems like it would be a better deal.

I know but some people may only wanna see the Jesus part. I mean I will admit I didn't see the whole bible series only the last 2 episodes when they aired on tv as a 2 hour finale

"The Jesus Part" was like half of the series anyway. The merits of the series and movie can probably be argued both ways; the movie has stuff that's not in the show, and the show has stuff not in the movie (I personally prefer the format of the series). The movie is best seen as a condensed telling of the story, almost like a "best of" feature to show off the series' high points, and to possibly draw in viewers who may not be all that familiar with the actual Bible.

As it is, the series came to Blu-Ray around the same time the movie hit theaters, likely because it would have gotten more sales selling the two separately. I won't be surprised if the series and movie gets wrapped together in some kind of Complete Edition later on.

Yeah, that's true I suppose. If somebody only wants to see the Jesus portion of the story, this would be their best bet. I'd think most Christians would want to see the whole thing though. I don't know though. I didn't see this film and I doubt I ever will, but I really liked Noah and The Passion of the Christ as films.

I like they showed this in theaters but I guess people who went to go see we're like wait a minute I've seen this in tv any way this was the first movie to make its digital copy also available on goggle play to my knowledge

The search engine is unreliable, especially for short words like "son" or "god". You have to use the brute force method of CTRL + F and physically searching several pages. It's tedious, but it'll get results.
