Paramount Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3D Blu-ray (2014) [Region Free]

Well the latest trailer confirmed it! So glad this will be in 3D. I thought it was a little odd that previous trailers didn't mention 3D and was thinking it would be a mistake for the studio to not put this out in 3D.

If you'd seen the trailers in theatres before a showing of a 3D movie you'd have known it was confirmed already; the last trailer has been playing in 3D for at least a month now.

I have indeed seen the trailers playing before several 3D movies, however none of them were in 3D or said 3D at the end. Chill dude, not everyone knows everything that you do.

Classic case of OVER-design on those movie turtles. They could have at least lowered the shells so it doesn't look like they're on a backpacking expedition. And the faces...

But I'm sure the fantastic script will overcome any issues with the look. Right? "crickets"

I actually like the design. Well maybe not Donatello, but the others looks cool.

So to anyone who's seen the 3D trailers for this, how did the 3D look? Medium 3D I would imagine but it would be great for a strong 3D presentation.

Wasn't intended to be read as an aggressive post man, just informative. Sorry bout the misunderstanding, tone can be hard on the internet ;-)

As for the 3D it looked... yeah, medium I guess. Lots of lens flares and quick cuts so it was hard to tell sometimes. It looked decent enough but not like anything that'd blow me away.

On the designs... I agree they're overdone. The faces cross over that line into the uncanny valley for me by being a bit too human. The worst, IMO, is Mikey... those giant lips are terrifying on his big turtle face. No wonder April fainted.

Hi Levcore,

I caught the 3D trailer in theaters and was impressed enough to put this on my list of must see 3D movies this summer. Being hybrid 3D with lots of CGI computer images, it's looking high medium to low strong 3D range for the layering. Some pop outs but I forgot how many in the trailer. The slow mo shot of the turtle sliding down the snow looked very impressive; strong 3D.

They were definitely looking to separate the look of the Turtles from what people were hoping for or expecting, and went for something quite a bit different. My first reaction was "Why did they put nostrils on these Turtles?" But the more I see it, the more I'm accepting of it, since it's no big deal really. The motion and martial arts will have to be the deciding factor for me in the end. Along with the 3D and the storyline...

I hope TMNT's is good with plenty of action if possible. Actually, TMNT is a computer animated movie. Too bad that one wasn't in 3D too, released a number of years back.

No worries, sorry for taking it the wrong way.

I'm sure the script for this movie will be godawful (based on a lot of the dialogue from the trailers) but hopefully the visuals will more than make up for it.

Cool.

While a lot of Turtle fans have given this film much grief regarding the plot and details, before it has even been released, I'll give it a chance, knowing it's about Turtle Humanoids that fight as martial artists with a Rat as their master. The choice for Shredder is different, but Michael Fichtner (spelling?) is a good actor, so I don't mind too much, even have grown up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon series and comic book.

The original comic book's Poster and styling was very cool, as the turtles' eyes didn't have pupils, so they looked more menacing. The original TV series was fun though, with a very catchy theme song.

The posters you posted look great by the way. Beautiful shading and artwork there. Thanks!

I'll always remember Fichtner's role in the Doug Liman film 'Go', man he's hilarious in that. That was the first time i really remember seeing him. Of course he went on to great success on TV playing Malone on Prison Break, a show i love.

Those 3D Turtle glasses look good. Thanks for that pic. I've found out that unless I get there for the midnight show (which I never go to see), all of the special glasses sell out faster than I have a chance to get them. Only have a couple different color glasses like the Hobbit (green) and I Frankenstein (Gray) with the logos on there. Maybe one or two others.

I haven't seen that one.

First time I saw him act was with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro's movie, Heat, by Michael Mann. He was the corrupt businessman in that one and only had a small role.

Also in Equilibrium, UltraViolet, Drive Angry as the super powered Agent, and a lot more.
I never saw Prison Break on TV back then, thanks for the info.

I have to see who directed this one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenage...282014_film%29

Produced by M. Bay, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, written by 3 people.

EDIT: I thought Fichtner was player Shredder, but it listed Danny Woodburn from Seinfeld as the lead villain. Not sure.
