The phenomenal John Otway documentary is potentially coming to Blu-ray this September. As some of you may know, the film was mostly paid for by the fans (who became 'producers'). These producers have now been offered a pre-release special edition of the film on DVD, 'ahead of the commercial release in September'.

I emailed the movie team to enquire about the producer's edition (which I now proudly own!) and as to whether or not we're getting a Blu-ray release and received a reply from the delightful Otway himself.

...And yes I'm pretty certain there will be a Blue ray version in September.

Bless him, referring to the format as 'Blue ray'. I love him. Met him several times after gigs and film screenings, he's a truly wonderful bloke.

I don't know if anyone here is familiar with John but if you're not, he's truly worth looking into. One of the last great eccentrics.

In any case, he's trying for Christmas No.1 this year.
