USA 21 Disc - Universal Classic Monsters

Not exactly something I'd buy. I bought Creature From The Black Lagoon & Wolfman, separately. I WOULD buy Creature, and it's sequels, as a trilogy.

Why they just didn't create a set, with Tarantula, Incredible Shrinking Man, Monolith Monsters, Deadly Mantis and This Island Earth, is beyond me.

Ummmm, yeah. And eventually, they'll release them on Blu. Are DVDs taboo here? I see them discussed on the forums a lot.

There's a DVD section.

This is: "Blu-ray Forum > Movies > Blu-ray Movies - North America"

There is a separate DVD forum:

"DVD Movies
Discuss DVDs, not released on Blu-ray etc"

I don't think there's any reason to think this release means there will also be a Blu-ray release. I may have missed one or two, but I think all of these have been released on DVD before. Unless its claimed these are new masters, these may be just a repackage.

It's just a DVD repackaging. Why we're not getting more of these on Blu-ray, I just don't know. Didn't Universal sell enough or what?

Well, all they have to do is manufacture new copies of ten year old DVDs and put the in a new box to get this set. I think the legacy collections have been out of print for a while, so they weren't huge sellers.

Even just encoding Blu-rays from the old masters, if they are good enough, would cost them more money, and I doubt any of us would be happy if that's all they did.
